Sony: Call of Duty will be on Vita this Fall

Well there you have it, the first CoD for the Vita will release this Fall 2012, Sony confirms but they did not mention which game in the series is it ( probably black ops 2 and MW3 )

if they sync the ranking systems with the 2 games (despite being seperate entries) it could be a hit.

Can't imagine the MP would be too popular, especially considering you probably couldn't play it on the go.

Anyone who wants to play CoD already has the means to do so.

They'd essentially be getting the same games twice albeit with the Vita version maybe having "exxcluzive awesum tuch controlz".

No multiplayer works over 3G.

The 3G network simply isn't fast enough, and it would cause a tremendous amount of lag.

Now if Vita supported 4G...

That would be completely different story.

All im saying is don't underestimate that 5 grader and his friends that are so addicted to cod that they want to play it everyday during reccess. Not saying it will sale alot but i know it will still sell, bioshock is in the same boat too.

This could honestly be huge ... If they can bring the online set up to the handheld version. Which kid out there wouldn't wanna be the one showing off COD during lunch?

The NA hit the Vita by Nov is desperately gonna need.

They will still be restricted to places with open WiFi connections though, unless it has some type of ad hoc mode. The only places with open WiFi spots are usually select places in major cities, shops (cyber cafes) and Universities. I doubt many schools will have open WiFi networks.

At home most of the community exist on the PS3 and 360, so they are more likely to choose 360/PS3 at home where their friends are.

MW3 is the most copied and pasted game ive ever seen.

All i want from this game is to have online so i can play with my PS3 friends on my Vita while at uni or while on bed. wifi no problem its pretty much all over the place

if they emulate ps3 cross game play already then cod will be on vita alot sooner than this Fall :lol:...vita needs lots n lots of updates... :P im waiting for a ton of em cause its ruining my ability to play in some ways

First Person Shooters on consoles suck, on handhelds are terrible.

Did you see the graphics on the vita? :o... on par with the ps3 on an HDTV. gonna feel like your playing on a mini HDTV with the vita. time will tell i must say im excited for this CoD

Vita has 2 analog sticks, that should help alot.

In terms of mainstream penetration, Nintendo has currently shifted a mobile market with their brand of IP's on the 3DS. A COD game on the PS VITA can offer the same mainstream market penetration in the West but, a new Monster Hunter needs to arrive on the PS VITA and these titles must be exclusive to the PS VITA.

I bet it's going to be that canned third-person CoD that Sledgehammer was developing.
