I was told by the same person that gave me the discount to the two games. They found out the price when everyone else found out. Insomniac was an indie developer that developed first party games for Sony.

This discourse on this game has been strange to me. Some seem to have expected it to be a HZD or Uncharted sales wise. We don't know what the figures are, but I seriously doubt it is close to those. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a "mega hit" for them.

It's a roguelike and a difficult one at that. They had to know it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea and likely had realistic expectations. And I wouldn't be surprised if Returnal had met those expectations.

i love the game. its the best ps5 game to date. its hard for me to enjoy another tps game after my run with returnal. definitely my personal GOTY.

Thirdly, nobody is stuck with these batteries….you have choices. You can power it through the cord, with AAs, with rechargeables or with a power pack. The Dualsense is however stuck with the one option that means you will not be able to finish a game in one sitting, and inevitably that rechargeable battery will fail to hold its charge.

Literally nothing is coming to the system other than that google plane game that's available on pc for a year and infinite, a game that looks like it was built for the original Xbone in mind (still no release date mind you). So yea, if i was a shareholder, i'd be sweating right now. Your analogy was bad, real bad.

@sealionact: I don't use AAs on my Xbox controllers, it's just an option I don't use. But I do appreciate how easily you can switch your battery once it starts to lose efficiency. I don't know how is it with the PS5 but with my PS4 and PS4 Pro it was basically pointless to use the controllers unplugged.

The game is a mega hit in terms of a new ip that received wonderful critical praise and gives Sony and fans something to build off of.

Can we all agree that Returnal has been MORE than a Mega Hit on SW (most likely other gaming forums as well)? Its the most talked game we've had in here in soooo damn long. The only thing that may surpass it is Halo Infinite if it gets a 7/10, but obviously for different reasons🤭
