That's a fat load of crap and they know it. I have never meant a core gamer who prefers motion controlls over analog controlls.
For some games yes, for some well...depends lol. The Wiimote and nunchuck works just fine with most any games, even IF you are not using motion. And to be honest I kind of like having two seperate pieces so my arms don't need to be connected. So in that sense yeah it can really work for virtually any game.
As I always say,´tis the future of console gaming. ;)

'tis a pretty awesome future imo. :)
Imagine FPS games without aim assist! Or RTS games that aren't incredibly gimped! And c'mon!!! RE4 on the Wii >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RE4 on the Gamecube and PS2 (there's no denying this if you've played all the versions).

This is what I mean. These games are great examples of dual analog being archaic, but many people will deny it. Of course if you are like Eurocom you will make Goldeneye Wii have lock on aim down sight for the wiimote (and other controls too I think) which is really dumb. I mean its in multiplayer! How is that fun? The Wiimote made Metroid Prime way better by being so accurate they didnt need the lock on anymore. Dual Analog are good for some things, but the Move and Wiimote can do the SAME things if the controllers are designed well, without using motion as well. SO they really just offer more possobility. The problem is the devs that make gimmicks out of it.

If anything, you'd need more aim assist. No console maker has a motion controller accurate enough to work on it's own. And RTSs would still be gimped. Hotkeys play a huge part in them and these controllers don't have enough buttons.
If the move or stuff that is trying to make games real becomes the norm it kills all my interset in gaming. I mean i might as well play airsoft or paintball. Not a game

Have you played Metroid Prime 3 (or 1 and 2 on the trilogy disc)? Or even RE4 Wii edition and if I recall MoH: Heroes was pretty good too. The controls are way better than dual analogand far more accurate. That said if the dev makes the game really well with dual analog it can be pretty decent. To me Killzone 2 is awful for controls and uncharted 2 is great.
If that were true, COD would sell best on the Wii. Although, I do really enjoy them on the Wii. The motion aiming is challenging.cainetao11COD doesn't sell best on Wii for multiple reasons. One not being motion control.
It depends on the genre or game.
I used to own a Wii, and it's controller was pretty damn comfortable, I expect the same with the Move, but I don't need it yet, maybe when it gets some more good exclusive games. But I'll probably never prefer it over DS3.

Exactly, the Wiimote and nunchuck is actually super comfertable, they just need to be a TAD smarter with a button layout, but its not a big deal. Even if it isnt using motion its comfy as it is.

Forgive me for commenting, Mr. Reuters! And c'mon!!! RE4 on the Wii >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RE4 on the Gamecube and PS2 (there's no denying this if you've played all the versions).Raymundo_ManuelYea there is. The game was made WAY too easy on Wii. I played on the hardest difficulty and it was still way too easy.

Haha exactly, cause its so darn good :P. They needed to build it from the ground up for the control scheme.
Depends on the game and how well it is implemented. I know everyone likes to **** and moan about motion controls, but there are times when it is the best option. Just as there some titles best suited for a gamepad and some titles best suited for m/kb, there are also titles that work very well with motion controls.
Well this "core gamer" does actually [generally] prefer motion controls over a gamepad. Though I have yet to shell out for a PSMove.

That's only because it's easier to aim with the pointer than it was with an analog stick. Plug in a CC or gamecube controller and you'll get the same "difficulty level" as other incarnations.
what a load of rubbish core gamers hate waggle,loldelta3074Waggle =/= Motion Control Games like KZ3 and Socom 4 won't have waggle controls...
I wonder anyone saying 'hell naw' have even played an fps with move??? I haven't, but I'd like to try atleast...Sw33tChilLi
I've played FPS with Move and I own a Move and Nav.
I thought Modern Combat: Domination would be cool due to the Move inclusion, but the way Move works in that game is terrible. Not sure if it calibrates poorly or the settings they have are too ridiculous, but it doesn't work well. MAG on the other hand works great with the Move. Sure, I'm not great with it yet, but that's more a flaw of my unfamiliarity with a new control scheme rather than the control scheme being bad. Getting off quick, accurate grenade tosses and zeroing in on moving targets is a breeze compared to dual analog. I'm not gonna claim it's better or equal to KB/M, but when it works it feels like the missing link between DA and Mouse.
If Killzone 3 controls anything like MAG with Move then I'll definitely be down for using it. Same goes for SOCOM 4, but I know that will most likely control like MAG (both developed by Zipper).
Anybody trying it out for 5 minutes then saying, "It sucks" needs to take a little more time with it. It's a control scheme and regardless of having the same buttons the DS3 has you're still going to have to familiarize yourself with the feel of the controls until it becomes second nature.

I am a core PS and Xbox gamer, and I play games on the Wii. I certainly don't hate the controls, but definately prefer my game pads. What's so hard about keeping what we post in the "I"?
