[QUOTE="Heith"]I agree, Sony did fail. They were coming in with the biggest brand name and they have barely kept up in sales, and that they even managed to do that is based solely on brand name alone (some people will always stick with a certain brand just because they are loyal)LordDhampire

coming from a fanboy right here....

I didn't want to be an Xbot, Sony forced me into this.

Only feature I really look forward to with the NXE is downloading games to your HDD. I will be using that alot. As for the new dashboard... I like the new one fine, the Miis look lame, and everything else is "meh" to me.

With that said, yeah... MS basically whipped this idea up on there lunch break while Sony has been working on Home for far too long. Not comparing the two... but I bet MS could launch a Home in half the time it's taken Sony to bring out Home... which still isnt out.

Maybe you should watch the Load times on the Farcry 2 disc vs dled to console......it loads the main screen up but the disc loads the game faster...I won't be wasting my space

Microsoft came up with a lame attempt to compete with sony's home and nintendo's mii's

and it was optional at first but now your forced to make an avatar which is rediculous

I dont care about the load times, just the fact that it will probably generate less heat and work the laser less. Load times dont bother me.

But yeah, the Miis are incredibly lame.

With the New Xbox Experience coming in a couple weeks, Microsoft brought the casual experience home before Sony did.

And they did it in far less time!

Sony unveiled their Home program with the Mii's earlier this year, and Microsoft already beat them to the end with a new program with their own Mii's!

And Sony's Home is still nowhere to be found.

Unfortunate really how a slow development time can ruin your megatons.:(

Sometimes slower is better?;)

Sometimes... But not in this case.

Meh, let's face it. Microsoft is more experienced with all this Xbox Live biz so they can churn out a simpler, yet effective update more efficiently in lesser time. They are introducing not revolutionary, but key updates like being able to install games on teh HD.

In all fairness, if Home turns out to be as good as its hyped to be (though things rarely ever are) then it may be worth the wait. Sony failed? Nah...dropped the ball for a bit maybe, but not PHAILED.
