[QUOTE="angry_fork"] To the guys mentioning DS, I'm only talking about Wii, I should've clarified that sorry.
Also before everyone goes crazy on me, this is my opinion, some people have had more enjoyment out of Nintendo's titles then Sony's, that's fine.
The gist of my argument is that I feel Sony is doing more for gamers with their first and second party titles, they're creating new, interesting IP's and are supporting them fully to become franchises. Sony has done this every generation, while Nintendo barely tries to make something new. I'm not saying they don't, but its far less then Sony.
If Nintendo had made a new Starfox, Donkey Kong, or Pikmin right now, with the same amount of time and effort they did Galaxy, then I might be singing a different tune right now, but they haven't done that. They've slacked off in my opinion. Their last glory days were during N64 where they completely DOMINATED first party, Sony wasn't even close. Nintendo needs to put the same effort they put in GALAXY, in every other first party game they make. There's no way someone can argue that SSBB took the same time/effort as Galaxy, same goes for Mario Kart Wii and the Twilight Princess port. Sony has spent more money, more time, more resources, trying to appeal to their gamers and bring quality AA/AAA NEW games/franchises to their consumers, with promising years to come. Nintendo, in my opinion, has failed in that regard, especially for 2008. First party-wise atleast, this is not the same Nintendo that brought us incredible 3D evolutions of our favorite franchises, Nintendo's first party is no longer king of all. Once again before someone does a backflip out a window, thats my OPINION.

Just because you put an "my opinion" before or after doesn't make it true ;)
You are in System Wars, not in your blog. You have to back up your statements.
And considering that the first party games of Ninty have had a far better critical reception, it is actually really difficult to back up your statement.
But of course, your opinion is absolutely respectable :)
I'm basing this off my reception, i don't care what some other loser things about Uncharted or SSBB.

Agreed. Anybody can pull their opinion out of their ass and slap it on a forum post. And that's all i'm doing. I wanted to see how many people agreed and how many didn't, and i wanted a discussion to start because i think its worthy of a discussion. It's obvious some people feel the same way otherwise this wouldn't of gotten to so many pages already.
