Returnal isn't an indie game. :-S

This can only mean that Sony is doomed!

Anyone who has something to show at E3 is impressive.

The delays to gaming from corvid is obvious, they should all postpone.

Sony hired him as their official E3 flute player. And with them now abandoning E3 now he's been reduced to playing the flute out side train stations and McDonalds.

They let him keep the hat though, so every cloud and all that.

Hehe. I'll always remember that guy. The Warframe community has been sharing memes around about him, because of his strong resemblance to the game's head dev, Steve Sinclair.

That, along with Giant Enemy Crab, Ridge Racer and other memes will probably be the lasting legacy of Sony's E3 presence. Sadly, memes alone are not enough justification to keep around a rotting carcass of an obsolete relic that is E3.

I'd like Sony to do a state of play showing off death loop and ghost wire tokyo.

Housemarque is an independent developer though.

Out of 20 games they have released only two of them were self published. They have had a publisher for the other 18 games including Returnal.

Indie titles don't have to be self published. An indie title can be a game that's created by an independent developer with full creative control of the game despite being funded by a publisher.

If they are being funded by a publisher, they are not independent. It is that simple. From your own link

Doesn't matter Returnal is AAA exclusive game. Indy games and movies are based on budget indies its based off budget not if they are independent. If it looks AAA and has a big budget its AAA. If its not big budget its an indie arthouse film etc.

Small storage? The difference is like 100 gigs and games installs are smaller on ps5.

And don't tell my you spend $215 on an expansion because that's just stupid. Might as well by a gaming pc at that point.

Based on the definition I quoted, budgets don't always mean they can't be indie. Indie is literally short for independent and while Sony published this game, it's Housemarque's game it's the game they wanted to build. Unless someone has evidence that Sony commission Housemarque to make Returnal and had more than 50% control over the direction of the game?
