Why? Here's why: 1. They release new IPs, sure, but they're always generic and uninspired. Look at Killzone and Resistance and Uncharted. The few IPs like inFamous that are not generic suck. 2. They've been using the same damn controller for the last 15 years. This shows a clear lack of creativity and inspiration. The controller is dated and obsolete for the kind of games we'e supposed to be playing on it. 3. They take away features like backwards compatibility and keep releasing stupid HD collections no one cares about. 4. They ruined franchises like Gran Turismo and Ratchet by either milking them or releasing crappy games. 5. Despite having so many IPs, they milk all their franchises. I've lost count of how many Ratchet and GoW games/spinoffs/collections they've released recently. 6. Their lack of commitment to peripherals like Move and systems like Vita shows that they are trying to be a jack of all trades, master of none. 7. The lack of games for the Vita coupled with the lack of advertising in addition to the lack of features on the handheld and the consant delays in getting said features out *cough*PSOne classics*cough* clearly shows us that they have lost the plot entirely. Their recent attitude with the newly released Vita and depressing lack of commitment and passion throws a dull shadow on the upcoming PS4, which might well be their last system. 8. They priced the PS3 at 599... Enough said. And don't you dare call me a lem, you freaking desperate cows, I don't like Microsoft much better than I do Sony. And lolNintendo. A few points
1) Infamous is a great game. You may not like it but its probably the best open world super hero game on the market. you also failed to mention new IPs like Little Big Planet, Demon's Souls, Heavy Rain, Valkyria Chronicles, etc which all were innovative and not run of the mill exclusives
2) The Dualshock is a great controller. What makes it so bad compared to the 360 pad? You flip the DPad and left analog stick and add AA Batteries and that is "OMG teh innovation"!!! Ms had to change the Xbox's controller because the first Xbox had one of the worst controllers of all time. Only thing that the DS3 could improve on is the triggers.
3) "They take away BC, and then release HD Collections of games no one cares about". If nobody cared about these games to begin with, then why is it a big deal that Sony took away BC? That allowed them to drop the price of the PS3. I would much rather Sony do that then force an online subscription like MS.
4) Gran Turismo 5 may have been somewhat of a letdown, but its driving is top notch. Plus, it has been updated several times since launch and many of the letdowns have been addressed (especially the terrible UI)
5) Milking many franchises (Many of which are New IPs each gen >>>>> Milking the same 3 franchises (MS with Halo/Gears/Forza) or Never creating new IPS and having the same characters for the past 25 years (Nintendo with Mario/Zelda/Donkey Kong)
6,7, and 8) Don't care about Move or Vita, and I didn't pay $599 for my PS3. It was a stupid move but the price dropped $100 not even a year after release.
