At least FM8 will be built for next gen only. GT7, the first mainline GT game since the PS3 and it's a PS4 game ported to the PS5. It's being built for the Jaguar CPU.

Spider-Man 2 in two years from now. Wolverine is a coin flip, but I like the developers. God of War I am very excited for, and at least it's next year.

Gran Turismo 7 actually scored the Ferrari license. We'll see how it is.

Quite frankly, it wasn't amazing. A bunch of HD updates and remasters of games I already own. If this is the release window for 2022 and potentially 2023, well then it's lackluster.

So the conference basically confirmed what we already knew, no reason for a PS5 this year.

And I guess Kingdom Hearts IV was too much to ask for.

So, maybe buy a PS5 in 2023? Good CGI.

Considering their silence streak these announcements don't put too much new on the table. GT and GoW were already to be expected, the two announcements from Insomniac regarding Wolverine and Spider-Man 2 are probably the most enlightening of their new reveals. And nothing is coming soon. I am a bit underwhelmed here by their reliance on multiplats and remaster/remakes to fluff the event.

Curious about KOTOR myself. I liked it in its time but feel a real transformational remake will be needed to make a big impact, something to the degree we saw between Resident Evil 2 and its remake. Will be interesting to see what that becomes. I honestly don't even think they have to retell that story at all or recreate the gameplay, but I guess doing it is the best way to generate a commercial impact.

This was an assurance direct to let people know they're good with PS4 until 2022 or 2023. Almost nothing new. Lots of multiplats.

Wolverine the most since he's always been my fav character and he's never really been done justice. Followed by GoW. But looking forward to GT and SM too.

We knew about all but two of those. It was entertaining and showed some fun stuff but not much new. Xbox seems to be showing new stuff more now. To be fair, they have to show new stuff because most of their games just aren’t worthy of sequels.

Not sure how anyone got executed by this show when all but the Wolverine game in the OP were either already known to be in development or, in the case of KOTOR, merely strongly rumored. (That's also ignoring the strong likelihood that KOTOR is multiplat and destined for anything that can play it.)

We knew about spiderman 2 but it wasn't office announced and we had no idea about Wolverine. Thats already 2 post 2022 games and we are never going to like know a full schedule of games for a system for like 18+ months out so try again.

Odd. I did not see anything that even interested me in the slightest.

They had an ending scene in the OG that showed Venom edit: a Symbiote. I doubt they'd delve into symbiotes without addressing Venom first and foremost.

I give it a 6.5/10. We knew most of those games already.. Spiderman 2 was a given.

Honesty the show wasn't that impressive I'm no fanboy of MS never owned any of their consoles GOWR looks pretty meh crossgen is holding it back. I'm sure Spiderman 2 will be great and I'm interested in Wolverine but everything else was pretty boring nothing mind blowing.

2022 lineup is superb. Horizon, God of War, GT7, Forspoken, Ghostwire Tokyo.... man, some really amazing lineup next year, can't wait!

Even for a launch year this year was not bad with Ratchet and clank and FIST is pretty good and Kena I think will be pretty good.

Funny thread....Sony definitely did not kill Microsoft, but they did show some great content slated years from now, as I suspected.

Kotor is my goat and it qualifies to me as a game that would do well as a classic game remade. It won't get me to buy a ps5 though because it's ultimately a multiplat game.

The marvel games are something to be excited about for sure. Insomniac is really great. It will be interesting to see how they come together. Again, multiple years from now.

Ragnarok is the one that's most exciting to me because it's real and playable and more than a cut scene. It looked great running on ps5. Looking forward ot playing it, likely on my ps4 unless it runs like poo.

Guardians of the galaxy is meh for me. Some of the new ip looked ok.

I feel like I'm gonna be enamored with steam deck for a couple years and then scoop up a ps5 and xbsx to play the backlog.

There's a ton of games to ingest...

I will admit though, the scalper prices of PC GPU's are really hurting the price of admission. Quite possibly PC's biggest Achilles heel at the moment. However, in the same breath , it's also effecting console's as well. lol

The show at first seemed pretty boring but ended up being the best gaming show of the year.

God of War Ragnarok looked amazing, Spider-Man 2 appears it will be awesome but those games were expected. We all knew they were coming. I did not However expect a Wolverine game from Insomniac. That is my favorite Super Hero of all time getting a game by one of the best developers today. That was honestly a massive megaton and I couldn't be more excited.

MS honestly has nothing I care about until the next Elder scrolls and maybe Starfield.

All I see that is new is the Wolverine game. GT7 and Ragnarock are old news and will be on PS4, KOTOR remake is multiplat, SM2 is an obvious sequel that will just be more of the same as the two current games, not to mention that aside from the two PS4 games, the rest will be 2023/2024 releases, so I can't see how exactly this is executing xbox.

Good show but nothing mind-blowing tbh .. we didn't see much of SM2 or Wolverine .. GoW Ragnorak looks good I liked it .. but it feels like an expansion of the last one not a totally new game .. Project Eve looks good I hope it turns out to be a must buy ..
