Sony made back the money they invested on GT5 from GTP5 alone? woow

Thought this should be an intresting topic for SW, GTP5 is officially closing to 5 Million units sold and the actual GT5 isnt even out yet. because of this huge success on the Demo alone GT5 is already a big success which could mean that both Sony and PD probably got their investment and the costs they spent back already from the demo alone!

Nice, don't have time to look into the numbers, but if what is said in the OP is true. Sony made a great choice with the demo.

5-6 years of development so far? no I dont believe that 5 million in sales at what was it? 30 dollars a pop I dont believe it covered the development cost, and they still have yet to release it.

Sure :), when i was little i kept always playing pokemon on gameboy color, then got ps1 but wasnt into gaming much in the ps1 days so when i got a ps2 thats when i started playing more and more so you could say it all started with the ps2 :P but with ps2 all i had were JRPGs. and some other platforming. i used to hate shooters as well till i played CoD4 on ps3 :D. now with PS3 im all hardcore lol. trying not to miss any good games 8)

sorry im happy for sony and good for them and all but i wont even tought GT5 untill its bargain bin or greatest hits, i fell for gt3 a spec and played gt4 to know that never again will i pay for a GT game full price, i just cant stand the feeling of driving the cars, spedometer say 250kph and it looks like one of the crowd members couls outrun my car so no.. gamekiller for me there.

gt5p will hurt gt5 sales. some might see both in the store. one being 20 bucks the other 60. most will buy the 20 dollar one.

It was also only a demo compared to a full GT game, not other racing games.

Correct me if im wrong but didn't GT Demo sell more then Forza 3..............maybe more then 2 and 3 combine or is that just reaching? LMAO

MS should do that with Forza 4 GT prologue. Then in three years bring out the full game. :lol:

best laugh is prologue has a fair bit of content for a so called demo.Demo's are tasters so they give you say a couple of cars and a track.Also it does a nice wee job of giving you a headstart in 5 when it rolls round in Nov.

Theres a lot of nice little things in it.The online is pretty good but a bit underdeveloped in designing the overall setup same goes for their horrid patching.
