but thats not what he's saying, not entirely, the ps3 could potentially be better if they invested more in it, and surpass the PSP's profit with the effort that would have normally been for the psp. Called opportunity costShelving something because "it isn't as succesful as the competition" is poor business tactics if they can still turn a profit from it. Now the PSP Go on the other hand.

This thread is SO fail...
Even if you dislike the PSP and lets just say from now until the end of time every PSP game was AA, that still wouldnt help make "better" games for Sony...because its a seperate team all together. Its not like they are splitting their resources so HALF work on PS3 and the other half work on PSP. If PSP dissapeared right now, you would get the same games Sony has been putting out for the past few years which have been great IMO.
So yea...Having them work on PSP does not take anything away from the PS3 lol. Your logic sir = failure.
If having more people to work on something made it better, wouldnt everyone be hiring as many people just to make "better games"? Exactly.
PSP currently have quite a reborth :) and still delivers most hardcore portable games, until 3DS not come there no pint of throwing this up. Besides as people say, this is most successful console that they have now and also powering PS3 with holy power of money
IMO, Sony needs to abandon the PSP and concentrate solely on PS3 instead. PSP lost it's chance to make it big against DS. Why waste resources making PSP versions of Resistance, Killzone, LBP and Gran Turismo when they can invest that time and money into PS3 games instead. Also MGS Peace Walker should have been made for the bigger consoles. It is the next big installment of the series anyway, how can it be taken seriously being a handheld game?

Ummm... Sony has been abandoning the PSP to make more games on the PS3. PSP gamers (me included) had a dry season last year...
They just need to add another thumb pad, and add more functionality that supports it as a true handheld rather than a console protableULTIMATEZWARRIO
Hopefully Sony will listen and add a second analog stick for the PSP 2.

All of which are yet to release in English
Er, PSP was by far the best selling system in Japan last month.
Besides, Sony is hardly putting an extraordinary amount of effort into PSP games. PSP game development is both cheaper and faster than creating full-fledged, big-budget PS3 games.
According to Kojima, Metal Gear Peace Walker is primarily aimed at a Japanese audience, whereas Raiden's game is aimed at Western audiences. PSP gaming has gotten quite popular in Japan. I'm sure the DS did not have the technical capability to realize Kojima's vision for the game.
The PSP was a success. Is the PS3 only a success if sells as much as the Wii?
