Say I'm going out of town for a week. Now not only do I have to pack a 3DS and a Vita, I also have to pack in a PSP. That's way too much space being dedicated to gaming handhelds. charizard1605
I have multiple handhelds and anytime I want to bring a handheld with me I pick one with a game or two that I want to play instead of bringing all of them. You keep using the words HAVE TO. You clearly don't have to do that.

[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="infinite884"][QUOTE="charizard1605"] Yes, I love carrying three handhelds with me at all times.

oh please, do you still carry around your psp? There have been no new releases on the psp for a good 2 years, apart from rpg's here and there. I have a pretty big psp game collection, games i already beat and if i feel like playing them i will just start up my psp, i don't see how this is a big deal.

Yeah, it's my second favorite system this generation. There have been tons of great games released on the PSP in the last two years, if you know where to look for them.

why do you need to bring all 3 handhelds? if i was going on a trip, i would pick one and take a couple of games and i'm good. Like i said, its your favorite handheld right, why can't you just play it at home if its a big inconvenience for you to take it. My friends have 3DS's and they rarely take it with them when they go somewhere, they like chilling on the couch or in their beds and play some mario kart or mario land.

But I have to. Because I might get the itch to play Pokemon one day, and Monster Hunter the next. Also, if I'm going out for the day, I have more incentive now to take my 3DS, which can also play a DS game if I ever want it to, with me than a PS Vita, which might or might not play my PSP games.

There are different ways of playing a handheld. Some people like playing them at home. But the basic concept behind it is that you can play it anywhere. Docking out PSP compatibility from the Vita (or making it limited) gives me less incentive to take it out with me, meaning I use it less, meaning I have less reason to buy games for it, leading to a vicious cycle which is unprofitable for Sony.

HAHa. I have had those days, but just suck it up and pass the itch with playing other games until I can get back to the game I want to play.

charizard, then why buy a vita now, if your still getting use out of your psp? you say its your second favorite handheld, why not just use that until the vita gets more games or goes down in price. You got plenty of options but your trying to softly bash the vita that your not seeing your options.

Right now? As in these days? Nothing, lol. However, if you want to know my recent PSP game circulation, it included Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and God of War: Ghost of Sparta. I'm looking forward to Final Fantasy Type-0. :) [QUOTE="CajunShooter"] HAHa. I suppose :P It just sucks, that's all. But I suppose as the Vita's library builds up, I'll have less of an urge to play legacy PSP games.

I'm not buying it right now anymore. I had originally planned on getting it day one, but the Memory Card prices really put me off. I still would have bought one with a low priced one, but the sales in Japan led me to decide to wait. If the system's sales are like this Japan, there may well be a price drop and/or a bundle a few months from now, so I'm going to wait it out for now.

Ultimately here are the options that PSP owners/ future Vita owners have and in the order in which I would tackle them.

1) Buy Vita Games! That is why you are/should be getting the system in the first place.

2) Search through the PSP digital catalog for games that you passed up on the first go round.

3) Hold onto your PSP for the slim chance you want to dig back into your PSP library.

4) Suck it up and rebuy the games you really want so that you can have them on your Vita.

Just wanted to address this one, but this might not be possible. Not all PSP games are available online. Some of the most high profile ones, like Crisis Core and Birth By Sleep, aren't available online.

3rd party games will always be the hardest to get up on the store. Sony has said that due to copyright and other legal problems some games may never appear on the store.

Birth By Sleep I think is easy to understand- Disney never licensed its characters for 'digital' distribution to Square. That said, at least it can be said that Sony learned from its mistakes, as it has mandated that every PS Vita game has to be on the PSN Store (or I suppose the SEN Store as it will be called now).

I, for one, am furious at Nintendo due to the fact that I can't fit an N64 cartridge into my Gamecube.
