any time I hear about game developers or gaming referring to "services" I get really, really scared.

I don't think publishers will do it right because they are cheap, and I don't think developers are reliable or mature enough to do it right.

You can talk service to me when, as a user of said service, I can call you up when I have a problem, be talking to a real human in my own language and country of origin, and solving my problem right then and there.
