Except for the fact that most people on this board or in general own a Windows-enabled PC, or wouldn't buy one just for this feature, therefore it won't help MS at all... Useless thread.
I'm sure this will boost sales for Sony VAIO N PCs. From Gamespot's MS CES coverage:
[7:21] Ryan Asdourian from the Windows 7 team comes up on stage to demonstrate his favorite PCs.
[7:22] One of them is the Sony VAIO N, which has a Blu-ray player built in and a touch-screen.
Well, Sony makes nice Wintel laptops. For example, Sony's thin gaming laptop with ATI Radeon HD 4650 (VGN-FW4x and greater). PICLooks nice. What's the cost on that thing?
Depends on the spec, but the baseline GPU is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 in either 512MB GDDR3 or 1GB GDDR3. There's ATI Mobility Radeon HD 56x0 refresh. I do know ATI Mobility Radeon HD 56x0's TDP is about the same as ATI Mobility Radeon HD 46x0's TDP. It's unknown if Sony is going to fit in ATI Radeon HD 57x0.
