Sony: PS3 is stepping over current next gen

Many people are saying we're now joining the next-generation console era, but I believe we've stepped over the current next-gen to create the real next-generation.

All of those things are part of moving from the PlayStation 2 era to the PlayStation 3 and leaving behind all of the middle products that are in the market place right now, which clearly don't compare in terms of technical prowess

We're not hooked into a world which was technologically average two years ago. You can't compare the two. If you're comparing the two we would have had the same technology and we'd be at the same price - we're not.

This is pathetic, it really is.

HAHA that was a great picture in my head... Seeing all Sony PR jumping over mounds of Wii's and Xbox360 and landing in a giant pile of... stuff...

So are we not allowed to compare PS3 to xbox360... okay! So PS3 is coming out YEARS before the NeXbox... damn.

it means the current next generation consoles (360, wii) aren't truly "next-gen". The PS3 is in the "real" next generation and therefore better than the rest. That's what they are basically saying. Yup, it's really stupid.

I dont think $600 is too much... I just think people actually despises sony and their additude. They pretty much insulted their customers on a number of times and then they say something like this every once in awhile... and it just makes everyone want to slap this guy with a copy of any multiplatform game that is better on 360.... (last I checked... every single one)

Oh... and that time one of them says they would actually pay money if anyone finds a PS3 on a store shelf like 1-2 months ago... just wow.
