Sony refuses to comment on Leipzig rumours: 'Fireworks' promised.

SCEE has refused to confirm or deny rumours concerning announcements the company plans to make at next month's Leipzig Games Convention, promising "fireworks" will happen.

According to a report on MCV, Sony will reveal that video-on-demand services and Freeview TV features will be launched "across Europe and other export markets" by the end of the year.

The trade publication is also claiming that SCEE will announce a European price cut for PS3 - despite the introduction of a new "value-added" bundle earlier this week.

"Rumour and speculation", says Sharples.

SCEE boss David Reeves states that "There will be absolute fireworks at peak, that I can promise you. We will be doing things no-one has seen yet for both PS3 and PSP."

Australian too hopefully, but I don't see them doing a value pack and a price drop. Hopefully they will though.

I'm just expecting to see fireworks, nothing game related.

At Leipzig i see them announcing a PAL region price drop. And then at TGS they will announce a japan price drop.

Hopefully they have other big games announcements and other announcements in general at both shows.

I was thinking they'd keep that for TGS but I had forgotten about Leipzig...so maybe they do announce it then. I really hope it's announced/released soon before the major games for the PS3 arrive later this year.

I'm curious what they'll show in the end.
