How will it sell consoles, Anyone who really wanted to play Halo, most likely have already gotten a 360 to play HALO 3.

What can they do about ODST being a "bigger game?" So if you're talking about the size of the actual game, Uncharted 2 is unquestionably "larger," versus the game with a 4-6 hour long campaign (by most reviewers' accounts) and a single new game mode (Firefight), no cooperative play campaign, and a whopping 3 new maps. ODST sells more because before ODST is the name "Halo 3," which tends to cause a bit of buzz. Anyway, regarding those other games, they're simply not finished yet. Who cares? I'd rather play a complete game than a hackjob. Besides, I'm of the camp that tends to believe that games should migrate AWAY from the holiday season and TOWARDS the game droughts of summer and spring. This is a great trend from all sides. I think ODST will see a significant sales reduction once people realize it's basically Halo 3 with a little bit of new content on the side.

Ohh lol here we go again wiht the ranting have u played the game NO!. ODST is prolly the best Halo game from them all and yes its prolly even better then CE for that reason its better then UC2 cuz CE was godly gameplay wise so as story >.>

You can play the campaign in co-op. Anyways, Sony is stupid to stack their two biggest titles in 2 years in the same month. It wont happen, that is just dumb, especially with FF13 supposedly coming out around then too.

I see to great game that I really want... R&C ACIT and Unchanrted 2: Among Thieves.... Not everyone likes to buy 50 Games during the Holiday season so two great game is all I care about...

metroid prime trilogy will also help this holiday
plus everything that released earlier in the yr
and the 50 price drop
then 2010 kicks off with games like super mario galaxy metroid otherm red steel 2 nomh2 and zelda wii

LMAO... Wii fit Plus? COD MW is going to suck on Wii compared to 360 and PS3... NFS Nitro is going to be nothing compared to NFS Shift (and that still sucks) the only thing that looks good is the Metroid Prime Trilogy...

Have fun playting your sales, looks like ps3 owners actually have something to play thats not another halo fan cash in.

Actually I've been playing Killzone 2 and InFamous, the two AAAEs released on PS3 earlier this year. Kthxbai.

I guess they should just rush God of war 3 out the door before the end of the year, or release new IPs like MAG and White Knight Chronicles against heavyweights like Modern Warfare 2. Yeah... Brilliant! You should be running your own business.

They should allow MAG to compete with MW2. It should do better actual;ly and obtain more hype. Similar to left 4 dead and gears of war, both were able to sell a substantial amount of money. How do we know God of war 3 isn't close to finish atm either? It has a march release date, and moving it up 3 months earlier shouldn't effect it dramatically. It willl probably hit gold or come close in the next 2 months. Quality of product sony has been pretty strong. They are just making mistakes on release date. Killzone 2 sold 800k when if released in november, december probably 1.4 million. Not much competition (Cod WAW is the only game).

Thier release dates are fine and their software sales are fine too. Putting a new FPS up against a well established and popular FPS (MW2) is just STUPID. They are in direct competition for the SAME fanbase and guess who will win. GT5 and GOW 3 will sell very well on their own. GOW has a history of selling well during that month so why break that. Uncharted is a well liked and established new IP that will sell very well just like the 1st one and needs the holiday push alot more then GOW and GT5. Besides doesn't Sony have FFXIII launching this christmas in Japan. That will sell plenty of hardware and software.

Actually you forgot NGS2 (September 29th), Demons' Souls (October 6th), R&C:ACIT (October 27th), God of War Collection (Nov ?) , and FF13 (JPN in december)but yes next year it gets crazy with MAG (Jan 26th), Heavy Rain (February), WKC (February), GoW3 (March), GT5 (March), and Modnation Racers (April). Ps3 is going to sell tons in March 2010

This is pretty dam ridiculous, Sony full out dominates from October to June in terms of games. The sheer number of games is insane, not to mention a large portion of those have a very strong possibility of being AAA. Not to mention blockbusters like God of War 3 and GT5 and you got yourself one hell of a lineup.
