Sony releases list of "KEY TITLES" for Q2 2007. o_0

WTF? Is this really it? These are *all* "KEY TITLES"? With Lair and HS listed as Q3, drought am confirmed?

If that really is THE list of key PS3 games, it's gotta hurt the Cows to know that lemmings will be living like fat cats playing the Mass Effect, Forza 2 as well as the Halo 3 Beta and Gears of War expansions (for good measure) during that same season. The list is bad, but knowing the hated lemmings are getting two GoTY candidates during this same time must burn britches...and it certainly won't help sales.

I think so.  And last I hear, it looked damn terrible.  Even if it didn't, it won't sell well.  Nobody want to play 2 and 3 year old ports.

Like I said, I have no idea why Sony chose these games as their "key titles".  I'd like to know what this means for Heavenly Sword and Lair.  I thought those were coming in May? :?

Well it looks like a perfect time to give my PS3 to charity. :P

This stinks though. The only game I might buy out of that list for my PS3 is NGS, and I am not super hyped to play it considering I already played through NG and NGB.

The best game on that list is The Darkness, but it's multiplat.

I just wanted something to hold me over until NCAA Football 2008 is released in July (then it's 4 or 5 months consumed with it). Hopefully Mass Effect and Forza should do. Just wanted something put in my PS3 besides movies. ramey70

Mass Effect and Forza are much more than "hold you over" games.  They look like AAA software that will be mentioned when the awards get handed out in December.

Mass Effect and Forza are much more than "hold you over" games. They look like AAA software that will be mentioned when the awards get handed out in December.

I no doubt believe that's true for 99.9% of the gaming world.  However, for me every game will always be a hold over to NCAA Football regardless of how good it is. 

TCHBO? Still the Wii's lineup is rather weak for Q2 as well without the awesomeness that is Metroid :'(

since when is Metroid coming in Q2?  and quite frankly, anyone buying a Wii should have known they were getting a drought box when they purchased it.  It'll get decent games more frequently than that sad GameCube did, but it'll still have its droughts because nobody will use it like 1st party devs will...and 1st party games are few and far between when it comes to Nintendo.

3rd partys are starting to develop for the Wii now... so maybe this fall it'll have some games?

Okay i was just wondering if they meant key titles as in those in hard copy format as opposed to those through digital distribution, IE. those games available through the PSN store.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma will satisfy my gaming fix for a very very long time, even I recently clocked 400 hours on Ninja Gaiden Black on Xbox, I am still hyped for this game (Ninja Gaiden Sigma). this means, PS3 fall is going to be great, DMC 4, GTA IV, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, PS Home, LittleBigPlanet, Socom 4, and more. and if MGS 4 also comes out this year, then its a wrap.

I'm really impressed with PlayStation 3. so glad I bought one.

You know the one nice thing you are forgetting about sony compared to microsoft...we still have ps2 games coming out also.  I'm anticipating Dawn of Mana.

We'll see.  All I'm seeing right now and in the near future for my Wii are shovelware and terrible looking games from 3rd party devs.

Liar and HS are Q3 or Q4.  What you assume is that Sony fans only want sci fi shooters and racing games.  Bioshock can be bought on PC and as for the playing of a Beta, well Sony fans wouldnt be Sony fans if they loved Halo so much that the Beta would be a selling point.

My two Game of The Year candidates represent ownage.  Halo 3's beta is just icing on the cake.  And it's cool that you have a PC that will be able to run Bioshock well...but that doesn't mean most do.  Most Cows won't.

No, those 2 games are supposed to be PS3 system-sellers.  High-profile AAA exclusives.  the only games coming to the PS3 that are bigger or more important are MGS4 and FFXIII.  Heavenly Sword and Lair are very important.  But apparently other posters have suggested they're both Q3 releases.
