Sony releases list of "KEY TITLES" for Q2 2007. o_0

Funny part is how many more games are comming out for PS2 then PS3. I think Sony trying to keep both consoles going in the end will bite them in the rear.Eltroz

well they can't *not* keep them.  devs can develop games for them as long as they want to.

360 will still have Forza 2 and C&C3 at worst.  halo 3 beta for as long as it lasts too.  that's not too bad.  add in Gears of War expansions n' such, and 360 owners should be fairly content.

Announcement was made this morning (GMT). Mass Effect is delayed untill September.

WTF? Is this really it? These are *all* "KEY TITLES"? With Lair and HS listed as Q3, drought am confirmed?

If that really is THE list of key PS3 games, it's gotta hurt the Cows to know that lemmings will be living like fat cats playing the Mass Effect, Forza 2 as well as the Halo 3 Beta and Gears of War expansions (for good measure) during that same season. The list is bad, but knowing the hated lemmings are getting two GoTY candidates during this same time must burn britches...and it certainly won't help sales.

    look notmany games to purchase in Q2 .... just 1 or 2 good games and lots of multiplats ...

  Okay guys to be fair ... games line-up imo for 2nd Q is PS3 > 360 > Wii ...
     360 HAD the best line-up however the delay of Boishock and Mass Effect and the fact that its NGS on PS3 vs. Forza 2 and i dont fancy Forza 2 i guess PS3 wins ...
    Even if it is a "drought" for all 3 ...

  But meh - :P My PS3 shall feel loved with Multiplats and exclusives helping to lighten my wallet ...
                While i await the end of the year and my eventual purchase of a 360 Elite then ( dosnt come out till Winter here in Australia ... When ill be doing assignemnts 24/7 ... may aswell buy it when i can find time to play PS3 + 360 + DS/ PS2 ... )

Basically, we are all screwed until September.  For us Lemmings, Mass Effect has been moved out of the summer into September, BioShock may come out in August, and there aren't any other huge titles beyond Forza 2.  For Cows, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is just about it.  Sheep - who knows when their next big minigame or kiddy game will come out.

Personally, I'll be surprised if The Darkness comes out this summer.  I just don't see it.  The 1up show video looked cool and looked like the game was coming along nicely, but it comes down to $ more than "when its done" most times. 

Funny how Rainbow Six Vegas is done for the PS3, but they are just waiting for the user base to grow enough before they release it.  I say its funny because GRAW1 came out for the 360 in March of last year and did incredible, yet (at the same point in the timeline of the PS3), they won't release a PORT of a 360 game for the PS3 with fears of it doing poorly in sales.

June is still Q2 for the year, July is Q3 though. So it could be in that window. I am interested to see how Bioshock turns out. Might be a game I will pick up for PC.

Well those are new IPs, meaning they're not expected to have stellar sales.

No, those 2 games are supposed to be PS3 system-sellers. High-profile AAA exclusives. the only games coming to the PS3 that are bigger or more important are MGS4 and FFXIII. Heavenly Sword and Lair are very important. But apparently other posters have suggested they're both Q3 releases.

True, but people would have said the same about Lost Planet. Or Dead Rising. Or Crackdown. Or Saint's Row. All of those sold over 1 million copies. Word gets around.

I agree with some of the comments that The Darkness should be good (Condemned-level good)...and Sigma will keep those who've never experienced the joy of Ninja Gaiden busy for a long time unlocking stuff.

And Spiderman 3 might turn oug amazing.  ya neva know.

The Darkness seems to be the only good game there and thats multiplat. Shame...oh well. :lol:darklord888
