Wooo. Looks pretty good. Looking forward to it. I love the PS store, but it isn't that fun to navigate.
Nothing beats the E Shop on the 3DS

Joke post right..? The content on the E Shop is great, but the design is horrible:|
Now if they can update the PSN profiles (like make game timers ala Steam) and maybe update their PS2 section a little bit, I would be happy to throw a little more money their way.
I got the same vibes, good thing Sony is taking cues from Microsoft. Current PSN store is rather lackluster. It looks like Microsofts Metro/XBox OS once you get past the first selection.
Edit: Take it back, even the first screen looks like Metro.

[QUOTE="RR360DD"][QUOTE="kuraimen"]Looks cool, gets even more superior than XBL yet.kuraimenNah, they tried to copy the XBL UI but its not quite there ;) No I don't see it cluttered with ads so they're not trying to copy its inferior design.
 true
As many people have mentioned i hope this new redesign will help us sort our download history because i really dont like how i get forced to scroll down over 2000 downloads to get to a game i downloaded in 2007
I was content with the previous interface, never understood why people thought it was lackluster.
This one looks cool, but a little confusing by just looking at the pictures. I wonder if the Vita PS Store will get a makeover as well.
*edit* Read the comments in the Blog post, and they said they have no plans to change the Vita store.
Not sure if it's even worth doing at this point though.. I mean while this new PSN design will be maintained even after the PS4/Next PS releases (even if just for a year, so old and new buyers can find a familiar service) a new dashboard design would be pretty pointless when they'll be turning their full workforce into the Next PS in a year or two. I mean I wouldn't mind an upgrade to the dashboard, but I honestly don't think it'll happen this late into the gen... i think it would because they can get feedback on how the dashboard functions and looks so they have a sense of direction. making mistakes on a dashboard now wouldn't be as detrimental as releasing a horrible new dash or keeping the old one on a new system... and i have a feeling that sony is not going to release ps4 soon....if not they should announce now to get the hype train jump on ms....but then again i think sony execs are dumber than ms....[QUOTE="jsmoke03"]
lol wow finally sony is getting it....their product just can't be about functionality....bells and whistles do count as well. well thats just the store....they can do with a dashboard upgrade as well....

At last! the current one looks and function very outdated when you use other services like XBL, the Appstore and/or Google play.
The icons for everything is small in the current design, I can't see what Im highlighting most of the times and information for each content is all written in small font too and if I want to change the size of content, navigating through it would take more time and the conten on screen becomes way less to see so Im stuck with those small looking tiles.
Plus everything is cluttered over everything, the content is not organized very well, Im going for new releases for the PS3 and I see tiles showing PS3, PSP, PS1 and PS Vita titles all over the place and there is PS plus everywhere.
it was good back in the day when there were little content, going through that content was a breeze, now however, it's impossible to keep the same design.
this new design looks waaaay better and more organized, content looks big enough to see what are you looking at, the color scheme is even better and it looks like a better way to get what you want from the store.
