[QUOTE="larshaun"]So M$ forces gamers who want HDMI to buy a 120 GB hard drive? What happened to choice that they bragged about? They are charging $20 less than a $500 PS3 and they force you to get a larger HD over high-def movie playback. Poor decision.asmallchild

ugh..now you are just being too picky. How many different systems do you want them to offer? Are you expecting a 4th consolew ith hdmi and a smaller harddrive? Wow, give MS a break.

I want them to offer ONE system. I want them to offer it at launch. I want them to stick to it for the lifespan of the console (yes, make manufacturing changes to cut costs. You can switch chips, DVD drives, Ram modules, etc... etc... But keep the basic feature set THE SAME) As a Microsoft fan, even I am peeved at this latest move to the Elite.

you a Microsoft fan

So let me get this straight... this new unit is like the PS3 with a larger hard drive and a headset, but without hi-def movie play back included, no tilt control, game discs that hold 5x less content than Blu-ray discs, $50 a year for online play instead of being free, and it costs only $20 less than a $500 PS3? Well, perhaps they'll add those features in next year's Super X360 Turbo: Hyper Fighting edition.

M$ doesent offer those features because they arent required for the gaming experience. Who cares if PS3 offers all those extras? 360 still has the better graphics NOW. Better games NOW. And online play for 1$ a week. 360 has already won.

Too many options sometimes lead to confusion among people.

I own an Xbox360. I plan on buying an Elite despite already owning an Xbox360. Glad we put that argument to rest. Finished.

It's all about options. What the hell is someone without a HDTV going to do with a ps3 that is capable of HDMI? Waste of money. What the hell is someone going to do with bluray without a HDTV? Waste of moeny. What the hell are you going to do with a 20-60 gb hard drive if you don't download demo's or care about backwards compatible content? Waste of money.

MS gives options.

And it doesn't even have fuking Wi-Fi even my DS and Wii has fuking Wi-fi.

Yeah crappy wi-fi. The $99 X360 wi-fi adaptor is better than any including the one in the PS3.

479$+99$ for Wi-Fi = Another 199$ for HD-DVD player + 49$ for Live Gold. It's consumer RAPE TIME. It's RAPE TIME. Way to go MS!!! 826$

The $499 PS3 doesn't have wi-fi, HD-DVD player isn't needed for games and second the 360 has downloadable HD movies which is the future (digital distribution > discs), and $49 for LIVE big deal you get dedicated servers that don't get shutdown (MGS3 ring a bell). You might as well count the $200 extra a year you'll pay extra to play PS3 in electricity bills. Plus you get a 120-gig HDD instead of a measly 20 gig. WTF sony talking about controllers their is cheap feeling, lacks rumble, etc.  They are going to release another controller this year milking cows like they have room to talk.  Look at last gen they had to add ethernet, 4-player adapter, HDD, etc to equal Xbox 1 hardware.

 NEXT....

That is an issue. Perhaps not big enough to warrant completely shying away from it. But still a significant issue.

Want to explain your statement?  Pretty much everything aside from motion sensing is available on the 360, plus added features such as media center and dvr.  How are they being deprived if everything is available?
