Blah,blah,blah... We're the only true next gen... blah,blah,blah... next gen starts when we say so... blah,blah,blah... we're not next gen, we're next-next gen... Keep telling yourself that Sony... I'm sure some of you even believe that. The PlayStation 3 is the only elite gaming system on the market. Microsoft is trying to catch up to us at this point. Beyond the benefits of HDMI and a hard drive offered on every PS3 we make, we also provide game developers and consumers the huge capacity of Blu-ray disc, Wi-Fi, free online gameplay, wireless motion sensing controller and the power of Cell," said Peter Dille, senior vice president of marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "Our strategy has always been to offer all our consumers a future-proof experience when they first purchase any PS3, rather than continually asking users to upgrade with expensive new add-ons and entire new SKUs."

Microsoft's Xbox 360 Core system does not ship with a hard drive, which is required hardware for users to take advantage of the upcoming high-def service. A 20GB hard drive may be added to the Core system for under $100, giving it the same data storage capabilities of a Premium console.
In reference to the fact that even the lower-tiered PlayStation 3 ships with a 20GB drive, Karraker said, "We would never segregate or shut out any of our consumers from our entertainment experience because they didn't buy the top of the line system."

graphics are better and the game runs smoother on every multiplat game there is. quit crying cause sony owns youe20DylanI'd be careful with generalizing like that. Thus far, I believe Oblivion is the only one to be noticeably better on the PS3 in terms of graphics and load times. I understand that may change in the future but it's a bit too soon to say that the PS3 is head and shoulders above the competition.
[QUOTE="asmallchild"][QUOTE="Videodogg"]$5, will be fixed in a firmware update, allows you the freedom to use any bluetooth headset as opposed to the proprietary, fragile junk that another company offers, will be offered soon, will be improved and continue to cost $0, will still have the title available for play Wow. I just savaged your argument in 2 lines. Zing. Ownage approved. "Videodogg", you're a butt bandit ... you don't have any idea of what you're talking about. "asmallchild" told you the truth, come over it now! come on. I own a ps3....so you cant pull one over on me.. i know what its all about. I sure dont consider it ELITE. You only ASSUME the scaling issue will be solved with a update....i wont believe that until i see it. My "cheap" little blue tooth headset ( $40 ) is not half as good as the "fragile junk" headset i have been using for my 360 for over a year. ( and speaking of headsets...what good is it when half the games dont even support voice chat on the ps3, and the ones that do, nobody uses them anyway? ) Im still going to have to PAY for new sixaxis controllers with RUMBLE in the future ( ..thats $100 for two controllers with rumble...what a great deal ). And, there are still only a small handfull of real exclusives left for the ps3, with no guarantee that they will be great games. Third parties like Sega are ignoring PSN and not offering online modes for their ps3 versions of mult-platform games. You posers have not owned anyone...except maybe yourselves.Sony did not provide HD cables , of any kind, with the PS3.
The ps3 has no internal scaler so a large percentage of hdtv owners cant get HD performance from the ps3.
No headset provided.
No rumble included .
Has a very lackluster "free" online set up.
Losing exclusive titles by the truck load.
This is a ELITE gaming system?
