Sony should launch last of us 2 same time as Scorpio

tlou2 will be my game of the year whatever year it is released

Because Sony would no longer cater to gamers. They would raise the price on everything since gamers wouldn't have anywhere else to go for console gaming and Sony didn't have any competition. You thought their proprietary memory cards and PSNow were priced badly. They would milk cows for every penny they had. Gamers would finally wise up, leave Sony for cheaper gaming on PC and Sony would go bankrupt. Game Over.

The Wii U, Ouya and Steam Box are already dead. The beast know at a Scorpio will launch in the Fall.

Because Xbox being in the market hurts you how? How does it affect your gaming? Sony could be out of the market and be replaced just as easily as MS. Real gamers should never wish a company out but of course fanboys will. Sad sad pathetic fanboys

Sony should release TLoU2 when it's ready, like should always happen.

I will reiterate that I would be happiest if they decide to get back into XBox 360 early gen mode and start dropping exclusives like a mad man and wooing Japanese developers back.

As far as how it hurts me as a gamer that there is, as things are currently, two platforms worth a **** and one just repackaging the same stuff I can get on my PC, I think that totally sucks. Consoles are a closed set of hardware that developers can optimize and exploit to their hearts desire and design games around doing precisely that. In short, I want more games to play and fun new ways to play them. In that context, the XBox has been delivering waffle balls and lolz.

That's how I feel about it. That's how I have felt about it since 2009. It is how I WILL feel about it in such a day and age when I am an 80 year old man and the Big Three are Samsung, Apple, and Toyota frankly.

and if MS ever left the console race, it would suck. We seen cocky sony several times over. it's horrible. If they have no competition be ready for price gouging at it's finest. a 900 dollar PS5 with 20GB hard drive. 200 bucks a year for PSN+ and no games

You getting that with Sony? More games sure, new and fun ways to play them? Debatable. Sony has proven they'll stick to the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality.

My point is why would any, so called gamer, wish for any of the console makers to leave the industry? MS has plenty to offer gamers whether you think so or not. The Xbox is still the best console to go on for online games. PSN, while better than before, still falls behind LIVE as far as reliability, integration and speed.

@kingtito: I just hope that they return to form. Certainly, it would take a monumental investment from someone like NVidia to make the Shield fill the vacuum left from the XBox. To that degree, I actually agree with you. In the long-term is where things get fuzzier.

Seriously, I just hope that MS starts swinging hard with exclusives and quality software again. I will preorder a Scorpio and post my PO notification on these forums if they start hitting it with 2006/2007 special sauce again.

Why?

Sony are absolutely obliterating MS this gen as it is. Scorpio is releasing too late (likely too expensive) for it to do any real damage to Sony. TLOU 2 will likely come out towards the end of PS4's lifespan like TLOU 1 did for the PS3.
