Sony test ingame music, and ingame friends list in demos, TODAY

Agreed. After paying for one year I asked myself WHY? I had to get rid of my 360 I just couldn't see justifying paying to play online.

Stone age? :? ok bro whatever helps you sleep at night. I don't get in game XMB and few other minor features yet and I'm in the stone age :lol: I bet you never even have played on PSN yet you dismiss it like it's the worst thing ever. It's not much different from Live at all. I am happy I sold my 360 and bought a PS3.

Yeah Americans just ASSUME that we like in-game music so they put it on there from the start!

Sony is nice to us and they wait for us to ask politely and they listen to our ideas and how we want it to work. And Sony listens! Sony is the best and the PS3 is the best console in gaming history!

Sony test for ingame music and ingame friends list have come up in too demos today. as of today in a new bowling game a test of ingame music can be used, and in the new time shift multiplayer demo, you may bring up the ingame friends list at anytime.

both of these have been confirmed test from sony, and they are testing to see if it works well, before putting out an update to aloow the features to be accesed on a fly.

looks like sony is really listning to the fans, both features will be coming to the ps3 via firmwire update really soon. FOR FREEE...

updates come every mont , and sony is a hardware company not a software. they have to get used to things. u see how the 360 hardware is failing, yet ps3 have no rrod.

this will just add to the list of free things sony will put up for psn, while your paying for it we doit it for free. thanks

Great! so when the FINAL PSN update comes out (Firmware version 6,879) and FINALLY equates to LIVE the next generation Xbox will be ready to roll with even MORE features.

It's fun to enjoy great things for a whole few months that SHOULD have been there already! :)

Actually crossgame chatting and inviting is ESSENTIAL for nextgen! If you want to fully enjoy playing online with your friends it's so much better then having everyone STOP what they are doing, go to the main menu and discuss what they want to do or play. Wait! Can you EVEN have private friend chats without using oyur cell phones?

How about just shooting the **** with a buddy while he rocks Uncharted and you play GT5? Not to mention how about just private chatting with a friend while you both play Killzone 2 instead of listening to those annoying "other" people you don't know? Oh wait no one ever talks or plays as a unit on PSN because you have to buy an overpriced Blue Tooth headset,so you might as well be playing mindless bots in the singleplayer.

Figures, it's expected that a company who treats it's online service as second hand would have fanboys who treat it as second hand as well.
