Unless they improve PSN, XBL is always going to be better. The Interface of the 360 is really great once you get use to it. I hope that the PS4 interface is lot better than the empty PS3 one.

It's extremely sluggish and has tons of ads. Every update they do of it makes it even worse in some way. PSN is beautiful in it's simplicity. It isn't sluggish, and it has almost no ads.

I used to think XBL was better, but now I'm not so sure.

First is Cross-game chat. Second XBL is overall better Online system since it's built from the start to support every game on the 360. Third the updates take less time to download and install. Fourth it's universal guide button is much easier to do stuff like check if you have any messages. Finally you get more apps than you do on PSN.

It's extremely sluggish and has tons of ads. Every update they do of it makes it even worse in some way. PSN is beautiful in it's simplicity. It isn't sluggish, and it has almost no ads.

Mines is not sluggish at all. Sure there are ads but most are for games or movies. Most of the ads are in the right lower corner of the screen so it doesn't bother me much anymore. I pay for cable and yet still get tons of ads.

The Sony fanboys just like to lie and say there is a Taco Bell ad on every screen when most of it is just information on what else is available on the 360. I completely agree with your posts brother. I used to swear by 360. Although PS3 online isn't as good (close), I'd rather pay nothing for the value I get than $60 of Live.

Real talk, Sony seems to do this every gen and they'll probably do it again. They announce a new platform, they hype the sh!t out of its graphic capabilities with doctored videos and screenshots and when the thing comes out it barely outperforms its main competition. It happened with the PS2 vs the Dreamcast. It happened with the PS3 and the Xbox 360. Neon_Noir

PS4 does sound more interesting, so far, but it needs to be released this year in EU.

If both consoles come this fall in my country, and rumors end up being true (PS4 being more powerful, easy to develop for, free online, etc), no doubt! I'm a fan of Xbox 360 in the same way i am a fan of PS1 and PS2, so if PS4 proves to be better than Xbox 3, i'll gladly 'jump out'.

The architecture of the PS3 bottlenecked the CPU power and brought down it's potential

Me too. It's hard to go back. Instead of paying $50 for Live, I got 15 months of PS+ and the online is somewhat comparable.

I think everyone is in for one hell of a rude awakening expecting the first year of either of these systems to be good.

My Live has never been as sluggish as my PSN. For the longest I didn't know what cows here meant by "ads". The bottom right tile is an ad that I cant here unless I highlight it. Now I now they mean the tiles that tell me what is featured that week in Live. Well it beats having to fire up the PSN store and then sift through to see imo. I use cross game chat a lot with other soldiers on different posts so that is key for me. what you said, airshocker, can be easily flipped. If our Live isn't sluggish yours must not be. I love all of sonys quirkiness and the things they come out with, if you dont take it all serious its quite endearing LOL.
