Sony thinks they could buy Apple one day?
AM-Gamer
in 1999 could you imagine apple being what they are now? Â Alot can change for tech companys especially in 5 to 10 years.Â
Apple would have to make a series of colossal mistakes and Sony would have to have a run of incredible luck to even entertain the idea of being where Apple is in 5-10 years. I mean, come on. Let's be real, here.Apple would have to make a series of colossal mistakes and Sony would have to have a run of incredible luck to even entertain the idea of being where Apple is in 5-10 years. Well, at least Sony is trying. They are already copying typical Apple business practices.
Like stealing ideas from other companies and acting like it was totally their idea, guys !
You got to go big or go home! Sony is still the only one providing the goods for core gamers, so what does it matter to you I like that Sony has big ambition for other markets too (They have always had that for gaming. Sony gets gaming the best. Sony gets gaming better then any one. Sony has become the gamers company, and thats not going to change) But i liked what i read from the article, as this will probably lead to them wanting to make better smart phones and music products in order to compete with apple etc so this is goodSony thinks they could buy Apple one day?

Apple is the richest and most valuable company in the world atm, and has a larger cash reserve than the US government. Basically, Sony have lost their minds. That would be like Bob's steel mill saying they're going to buy US Steel in 5-10 years back in 1901.Sali217
Actually that would be Exxon Mobil

That's just one official who doesn't know what he is talking about.

meh, only since late January, I'm sure these two will fluctuate. Still doesn't change their position in comparison to Sony.[QUOTE="Zaibach"][QUOTE="Sali217"]Apple is the richest and most valuable company in the world atm, and has a larger cash reserve than the US government. Man, in that top 7 Wallmart is the only one not "Oil and Gas".
No wonder they don't want to build alternative energy sources.

[QUOTE="Sali217"][QUOTE="AcidThunder"] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_companies_by_revenueI never said anything about revenue... when I say "valuable" I'm referring to market cap. well you didn't mention that Fair enough, but it really doesn't change anything when comparing the company to Sony, who is a struggling company atm, and the entire point of this thread.
Apple is a distant 18th. even Walmart is larger than Apple.AcidThunder

they bought Gaikai, they bought Sucker Punch, they bought EMI. Now, you were saying? And by buying EMI Sony are now the biggest music publisher in the world!
Â
Â
Are you serious? Those are tiny companies. Apple is sitting on the biggest pile of cash in the world.

Oil is a natural resource that has been piling up on Earth for trillion of years! This sht is gonna last for centuries.
Oil is a natural resource that has been piling up on Earth for trillion of years! This sht is gonna last for centuries.Gue1The Earth has only existed for ~4.3 billion years. The universe for ~15 billion. That sh!t is non-renewable. It is an organic substance that was formed from fossilized dead plant/animal matter from millions of years ago. There is no reason to rely on it as a primary source of energy, no matter how much is left, it's going to run out eventually.

That stuff is not replaceable. And in the last 100 years we have accelerated the decrease of said resource.well they will have to cause oil and gas are not gonna last much longer[QUOTE="AcidThunder"][QUOTE="Sagem28"]

They estimate there's about 40-45 years worth of oil left at current consumption rates......
