What if Sony launched the PS3 in 2008, with a $9000 price tag, would it do as good? What if MGS 4 got a 1, or only came out on the 360, as an AAAAE. These "What IF" questions are only wishful thinking. The 360 was launched a year ahead of the PS3, it is pointless thinking what if.

Its just an observation, that MS don't have that much of a MAJOR impact on the console market yet, otherwise if it did, it would have done MUCH BETTER. if they only did this much with the year head start, think how bad it would have been if it didn' t have it. calm down.

I highly doubt that. Either they were using 360 controllers, or they were using PS3 controllers. Or they were fighting using arcade sticks on either system. Either way, Sony won.

It's likely the 360 would not have done as well as it has been without the headstart, but guaranteed or fact? Heck no.
Also not doing that great? Sure it could have done better I give you that but MS has gained marketshare compared to last gen and Sony has lost marketshare, like it or not.

You haven't asked any sort of question. "WHAT IF" is not a question at all. What if Nintendo built a powerful console? What if the PS3 didn't cost $600? What if Nintendo and Sony made a console? What IF? What IF? What IF?

they are: best graphical game... Beating the 360 in the same time frame...here and there. Bluray is a success. HDDVD flopped. and considering the 360 had a year start, the PS3 did much better.......THINK! Best Games + Best System + Cheapest System = Worst selling system this gen thats only getting further and further away from the next closest guy....THINK! Sony has to be trying to figure out how to balance this equation.

If they're going to do something like this they should make it big. Like broadcasting a best of 5 between howard stringer and steve ballmer or bill gates.

Thats not surprising but It is possible for the PS3 to catch the 360. Didn't the PS3 outsell the 360 worldwide in 2007 with no heavy hitters? As for the Wii, I don't see it surpassing the PS2. I would be surprised if it did.
