sonys franchises...

I want me some champions of norrath, i want twisted metal, i want another dark cloud. sony, dont forget who you are. you still have the most great exclusive franchises under your belt then any of your competitors, id also like another jak and daxter. oh oh oh and another ico/SOTC game. Anyways the point of this is, to point out that sony still has the most great exlcusive franchises under there belt but sadly hasnt announced sequels on the ps3. Now i know there making some new ips but dont forget about your tried and true formula.

Every sony console including the psp has launched with a twisted metal game except the ps3. :( Do any of you think well be seing sequels anytime soon? theres alot more that id like to have sequels for including drakan....

Well Incognito (the Twisted Metal developers) just barely finishedWarhawk and their next project will probably be another Twisted Metal. And it's already been announced that the Shadow of the Collossus devs are working on something.PS3Compass

Don't forget Quantic dream ( Fahrenheit AKA indigo prophecy developers) are working on two games also.

I only hope that PS3 owners start buying great games like what they did with COD4 ( 500k first week), then you won't worry about a thing.

i suppose gran turismo and gow are notable exceptions but Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid are still third party and you are high if you think that they wont go multiplatform once they fail to meet expectations on the PS3

Can I have your crystal ball please? If you didn't notice, the PS3 outsold both the 360 and wii last week and given that Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid are made from Japanese developers, I don't think they will put any of those on the 360, given that it won't sell too well there.

Team ICO is working on a new game, supposedly a SotC sequel.

There is already a Jak game on the making according to latest reports.

White Knight Story is from Level 5, the developers of: Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy and Dragon Quest VIII.

There is already a game from the creators of Champions, it was pure crap (Untold Legends).

Twisted Metal is on the PSN now, but sadly there are no plans for a PS3 game, though there are for a PSP version.

Can I have your crystal ball please? If you didn't notice, the PS3 outsold both the 360 and wii last week and given that Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid are made from Japanese developers, I don't think they will put any of those on the 360, given that it won't sell too well there.

Crystal ball's have nothing to do with it. FF13 and MGS4 are HUGE third party endeavours that cost multiple millions of dollars to make. Squareenix and Konami are not charities and they have no loyalty to Sony. Sony is trailing in last place and the Ps3 has horrible software sales (lol ratchet and heavenly sword)

I don't expect cows to understand the reality of the situation but the facts are that the ps3 is in a horrible situation, far worse than the position the PSP is in (and we can all see how crappy the PSP lineup is for next year)

comparitively, yes it does. There are very few big hitters coming out for it (i cant think of any apart from GOW, crisis core and the star ocean remakes) and even those titles pale in comparison compared to the cream of the DS's lineup

didnt sony say that it wasnt a refrence to Twisted Metal? They said the pic was supposed to represent "an explosion of fun." Anyways, last i heard was that Incognito was working on twisted metal black 2 a while a go and then it got cancelled and they started working on Warhawk. Man, i would kill for another Twisted Metal BLACK. it has to be black...I mean twisted metal 2 was awesome and all, but Needles Kane (Sweet Tooth Version) in Black is a beast and a half...Anyone remember the first time Sweet Tooth turns into a mech...i was like OMFG!!!!! and remember the level with the ferris wheel of destruction.....man....that was the game that made me buy a PS2 :D

I prefer Mario, Zelda, Metroid over any of the Sony franchises. Sure Mario might be overused, but Mario platformers are the best hands down.

Yea i would definately love to see another sly cooper or Syphon filter on the ps3. sony has the most great exclusives HANDS down. and i know its just a matter of time before they get sequels. somebody needs to make a list of all of the great exclusive games sony has that need to have a sequel on the ps3. cause i know theres quite a few. ill start the list

Plus most of the 3rd party companies have tight relationships with Sony. Sony has to make new franchises and not be like Nintendo ; characters that are played out.

Microsoft only has Halo ; which was ended and Gears which is 3rd party from Epic. Sony makes relationships not money deals.
