Sorry guys, Tekken is the best fighting game series by far.

Cannot agree with you more. Tekken is one of my all time favourite franchises. Back in 95-96 when I was a small child, Tekken 2 (on my dad's PS1 our living room with a 50" Sony CRT) was the first game I had every played. I remember getting my very own Sony PS One (slim) when it came out in 1998 and got my own 40" Philips CRT which felt MASSIVE like a 100" by todays standard. Tekken 3 came with it. Oh the fine memories!

Tekken is very clunky when you're new to the system. It takes a lot of practice to learn proper movement and punishment in the game. But that's one of the appeals to me.. the game is very technical on every level.

KoF is my other love, so I'm not even going to compare the two. Both amazing fighters. It's just too bad that KoF 13 has such horrible netcode.

Admit it guys, forget BlazBlue, forget Street Fighter, forget DoA, Tekken is balls to the wall phenomenal.

It's everything in a fighting game done right. Hot girls? CHECK (Lili and Xiaoyu are hotter than any girl in DOA put together), FREE DLC? CHECK, The most diverse and balanced character rosters in fighting games? Fvck yeah!

I'm sad though. This series doesn't get any notice on SW. It's all ArseSys and Crapcom that gets all the notice. Damn casuals don't know what a good game is because they can't land a single hit on Tekken.

Throw in TTT2's AMAZINGG online mode (connectivity options ftw) and the game STILL managing to surpass any fighter in SP mode diversity we have a winner.

1st thing he talks about as "being done right" in a fighter is hot girls and not the gameplay. F*cking scurbs man.

Anyway Street Fighter 4 and marvel 3 series are and have been the biggest things in the competitive fighting game community for long long time and its for a reason.Theare are the best and most hype current gen fighters.Deal whit it.

There are alywas people pushing HARD for things like KOF, MK or Tekken but it never quite works out as good as for SF or Marvel now does it. Oh well.. :roll:

I do respec tekken for its gameplay and it does require a lot fo skill BUT

1. Every new Tekken is pretty much the same sh*t like the last one.The are almost no game mechanic changes to speak of.Characters are the same to frame specific stuff which is pretty pathetic wen you have a "new game" out.

2. Boring a sh*t to watch.

3. 2D justfundamentally works better for fighters.

It's actually decent but SF is the king for me. I'm not the biggest fighter fan though

It's an awesome series, but Teken 6 was poorly thought out.

Why did we have to play through that terrible adventure mode to unlock the character's stories?

SSF2T is the best fighter ever followed by 3rd Strike. The best Tekken is number 3. Street Fighter is the biggest and best because of the local tournaments around the world and the characters like RYu,Ken,Chun Li have a bigger following than any of the Tekken characters. Also MK is better as well because Scorpion and Sub Zero are badass,

I agree, I never understood why Street Fighter gets the love it does. Personally I hate the way it controls. Maybe that's just me though.Sali217

You started with "Hot Girlz" character options as a legitimate reason for a fighting games dominance in the market.

To be fair though, Tekken is one of the best selling fighters (at least over SF) and is the most popular fighting game outside of the US.

You might have an argument with 3D fighters having in mind that Virtua Fighter and even DOA would like to question your opinion, but when it comes to overall fighters, Tekken doesn't hold a candle to 2D fighters like SSF4 (even if i don't like it that much) Blazblue (probably the best new fighter this gen), Persona 4 (next to Blazblue, one of the best fighters in recent years), and the all mighty and best fighter this gen, The King of Fighters XIII, you want a balanced game where every single character is viable, with no comeback mechanics and pure skill is all that matters, then play KOF XIII, next to SF:TS, GG:AC and Garou Mark of the Wolves, i'm sorry but not a single 3D fighter can even touch those games (maybe, just maybe VF).

I'll take a decent 2d fighter over the best of the best 3d fighters anyday. So no, I disagree.
