Sorry SW, I doubt we will see a 10/10 rating until next gen

It is hard to please gamers no matter how great the game is, and since the last 10 was what? gta 4? correct me if im wrong. People said that it no way should of got a 10. Its going to make game critics look more in depth before considering a 10/10 rating...

So i think next gen we will see some 10's due to better graphics i suppose, the games should be outstanding compared to what we are playing now, so it looks like next gen...anyone disagree?

We won't know that until the gen is over. Personally, I could see Assassin's Creed II nailing one, considering Van Ord is still here, he loved the first one, and the second is going to be heavily improved over the first.

I honestly hope that no game gets a 10 anymore, becasue when it does it gets nothing but crap thrown at it. Oh wait, that's just describing all the AAA/AAAA scored games here. Don't get me wrong, I think certain games are overrated. But lately is seems that almost no game, no matter how well rated it is, can ever be legitimately good in SW.

i don't think it has to do with graphics.

Advertisement/agreements/etc. seem more likely.

Why should he care about reaction? Its his opinion after all. If he wants to give ACII a 10, he can. I thought the 9.0 for AC was justified, despite the issues it was still very enjoyable for me. And that's the point, a review score is just a quantification of the reviewer's enjoyment of said game... it in no way represents the "quality" of the game at all.

i seriously hope this time around the game which gets a 10 will atlast be worth it.

but its pritty hard to please everybody.

A lot of people agreed with GTA's rating. It has the highest production values of any game this gen.

I agree, I mean look what happened to the Killzone series. previous games in a series have no baring on how the sequel will turn out.

I doubt the Wii will ever get a perfect 10 from Game Spot.

Really!? I love AC but it was a broken POS. It's had so much potential and fell flat on its face in ever aspect. Each assassination require the same 4 events to get to. Clunkly controls with the repetition just made it awful. But I can't wait for the second one. I just hope they fixed it.

No game should get a 10 anyway, unless your some idiot who thinks 7 is the average of 10, oh wait Gamespot and all US review sites think 7 is the average of 10.

well, it wouldnt surprise me to see a another perfect scoring game this gen. especially since it still has some legs left and next year alone seems like it has some 10/10 contenders.mass effect 2, splinter cell:conviction, halo:reach, gow 3, the last guardian, and agent(considering its rockstar north fun fact: got gta 4 a 10) all those games are highly reguarded franchises with amazing devs behind them. but a 10's are given out few and far between(usually, gta 4 and mgs 4 were only a couple months apart). i guess we'll just have to wait and see tho.

Actually a revewer needs to look at the components of the game, compare against the standards that review scale has and then apply it to the audience. There is no reason why a game in the dragonball z universe needs to be subject to extreme story criticism for example. The fans don't care, and the games aren't about story. Deducting marks for silly things is not what reviews should do. Reviews need to be informative first and foremost. If they can't do that, they are worthless.
