Sorry SW, I doubt we will see a 10/10 rating until next gen

I'm not really interested in whether we do or don't. I just want to play solid games.

I agree. I was never impressed with most of the games that received 10/10, as they never appeal to my gaming tastes. Also, I will question the credibility of review outlets if they give out 10's based on hype or publisher influence just like what I am doing when Famitsu gave its third 40/40 score this year recently (if what I read is true as no one has posted a scan of the Bayonetta review).

Gamers should be more concerns that the games they play are solid, not because they have a subjective high number that anyone can disagree with. After all, do "hardcore" gamers play games or do they play scores?

Did you read what I wrote? I said I loved the damn game. But that doesn't make it any less broken. That's why I'm looking forawrd to the second one, because I enjoyed the first one. But it was broken in more ways than one, and you'd have to be blind not to see it's flaws.

Alan Wake seems to have a good chance.

Impossible to tell, though I have found both 10's this generation (GTAIV and MGS4) incredibly disappointing. I didn't finish either of them, it got to the point where I just had no interest in playing them.masterpinky2000

You never know with Gamespot. Before GTA there hadn't been a 10 since 2001 or sometime around there and then bam 2 10's just a couple months between eachother.

We won't know that until the gen is over. Personally, I could see Assassin's Creed II nailing one, considering Van Ord is still here, he loved the first one, and the second is going to be heavily improved over the first.

Well, Plants Vs. Zombies certainly deserved a 10/10. Sometimes the stupid critics out there don't know a timeless classic when it chases them down, bites them and tears off their butts . Go figure.

Let's wait till Modern Warfare 2 comes out - I think it actually has a pretty good chance of getting a 10.

Taking into consideration that gamespot has been giving 10/10 this gen like candy, I wouldn't be surprised if we expected quite a few more. But then again, I never was one to care that much about a score. Hell both MGS4 and GTA4 despite their ratting, were actually worse than their last gen predecessors to me. Perhaps not GTA4 in comparison to all of the games in the series, but I definitely felt that about MGS4(with the possible exception of MGS2).

You never know... Mass Effect 2 is coming... :o

With .5 increments I doubt it. I think well have atleast one by summer 2010 lol I mean do you SEE the list of games coming out then?

God of War 3 probably has the highest chance of getting a 10. Or maybe Halo reach just because of all the freaking hype it's going to get before release.
