I kinda love and hate this game. Online battles can be so unbalanced its not even worth trying. There are some moves that, as far as i can tell, are completely unblockable and the other person just does them over and over and over.

But its still great!!! BUT IT DRIVES ME MAD!!!

e_e I also hate when they do the same move over and over. Eh,I quit the game though. I rarely lost, and when I win the other person always complains...and when I do lose it's because the other person button mashes or do some move repeatedly that's pretty hard to block.

get better! only a very few select moves are unblockable, and those still can be avoided. I don't really play it anymore, it got old fast for me, but I had no problems kickin *** online.

I haven't really played online rank games, but the game's really been more catered to the mainstream. I mean random button mashing can take you quite far, still though an experienced player should be able to give you more run for your money too.

I dunno, I love and hate SC IV at times too. I'm not bad at it either I'd say, but the online has some latency issues that really mess up some things like GIing. I also hate when someone's connection sucks and it just has like 1 to 2 or even 3 second delay inputs :|

They only "use the same move over and over", because you let them hit you with the same move over and over. The game isn't imbalanced, you just aren't any good.

Pretty much what I was going to say.

After you've played enough Kilik spammers, you can tell what they're going to do before they do it.

its like being given a spud gun for christmas when your brother gets an ak-47....

yeah Soul Cal can be quite the button masher now for noobs, its still a great game though. Once you get really good at it you can own button mashers easy. But I love virtua fighter the most because button mashing is impossible in that game.

I barely play online. Mostly because in SC IV I get a lot of PIN (most likely due to my location) so I cant even play well. Offline, Im pretty good. After years of following the saga, Ive learned the basics of defense and parry, so button mashers really have a hard time on me. Whenever I get a 5 Pin match, online, I enjoy it a lot. Its almost as playing with the guy next to you, since it is lag free and all, so I can defend and parry properly. And sometimes, when I want to have some fun, I use Vader :D I really like him (aside from the fact that Im an Star Wars fanboy)

Button mashers are cake. I haven't been playing lately but from experience, all button mashers have identical movesets with one another so once you get used to it and should start blocking automatically. Just block and counter accordingly, that's all there is too it. Only person I'd probably have a hard time with button mashing or repeatedly using the same moves is mitsu and sophitia since their attacks have almost no lag time and vary in high, mid, and low properties while sticking to mainly 4/5 moves but they'd have to be fairly good as well to beat me. I was pretty good in the game too w/ over an 85% W/L record and lvl 71 before i stopped.
