Sound Effect King?

MGS4 in 7.1

MGS4 for me.

Most people named my choice. Dead Space's sound design was outstanding. It's pretty much the main reason it's as atmospheric as it is. It's not all that scary on its own, but the sound design really ramps up the tension and suspense.

Bad Company 2 sounds phenominal.

MGS4 or KZ2. PS3 game, for sure.

You know you get chills when that backboard breaks after the announcer yells "OOOOOOHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" while you were spinning through the air on fire.

Bad Company 2 is instant win.

It's amazing how much they put into the sound; the sniper bullets wizzing past your head, the sound of gunfights from across the map, the whirring of approaching helicopters, the godly sound of the M95...everything is perfect.

EA games in general have really good sound. Last gen i would say Black, that had awesome sound

You can hate on everything else about BC2, but the sound effects are phenomenal. The echoing in a mountain based map after a gunshot is amazing.

System Shock 2. I **** bricks every time I hear a hybrid. It may not have the best quality sound, but its surely the best use of sound in a game.
