So-who here bought ps3 GTA 4 and wishes they didnt and bought the 360 version?

The story wasnt that great... decent concept, coming to America looking for the American dream, but I think it could have been executed better. Better characters? I dont think so, not by a mile. The combat was much improved... but I'd beg to differ about the driving. I'd call that a wash. They handle differently, but they're equally easy to handle in my opinion. I just dont think the series "evolved" so much as it just took away stuff, including humor. I loved GTAIV, dont get me wrong. But I really felt like they did take away so much of what made me a fan of the previous games. And I'm not calling you wrong here, just saying, our opinions differ. lol. And this has nothing to do with the DLC, by the way, just GTAIV in general, lol.

The whole thing with Niko was because it was the only thing he was basically good at and that it pays good, in which he actually says in the game. I understand on how he is hypocritical, but it was a moment of desperation (or so it seemed).

I thought the characters were better because they're more down to earth than the previous GTA characters, and that the driving was better because the more realistic feel to it, and how the crashes felt very hard-hitting.

I guess it's just that I've been wanting a realistic GTA for a while before this one came, and I seriously had my doubts before I bought it for PC. But I loved every minute of the game because I think they just nailed the realism.

But humor? You didn't like the America's Next Top Hooker radio commercials? Or the Katt Williams stand up?

I'm a GTA and Rockstar supporter, so if they make DLC as huge as Lost and Damned, of course I will support it. Seems like more 360 owners appreciate and supports Rockstar than PS3 fans. That's probably why Rockstar made these episodic content exclusive to the 360.one_on_one

I reckon the lack of DLC has actually made people convince themselves they dislike the game.

well then it seems to come down to the actual taste of the game then, but I'm fairly sure a substantial amount of players say other wise and actually like the game.

I's even better that the game has additional support coming through in the form of DLC, so regarding that then I don't blame Cows if they got shafted.

However if given the choice before hand and you knew about the reviews, previews pending DLC and handson you would have to accept your xhoice in wich verion you picked up if not.

You could just simply sell it.

What's with all the GTAIV hate in general? I thought it was much better than SA and around the quality of III...oh well, to each their own, I suppose. And I originally purchased it on the 360 because of DLC and the fact that my 360 is my main gaming console and all multiplats find their way onto the machine.DonPerian

actually your wrong. gta 4 was the worst in the serious even if dlc came to the ps3 i wouldn't buy it until it hit the cheapest of the cheap bargin bin. i simply did not like the game at all. you can search countless threads from cows and lems who did not like the game. sorry but i don't want an extra side of crap for an already crappy game. on a side note im also not going to pay for content that should of been in the game in the beginning. sireclaborn

Thats a bit harsh, sure the game wasnt as good as SA with all the missing elements but it still has alot in it. but it definantly isnt the big 10/10 best game ever that some people make it out to be :S more of a 9-9.5 game

Well I bought the 360 version and can't get the DLC anyway because it's not available in my country (and it's region locked.)

My only hope is that they release all the expansions on a disc later.

You should turn off noise filter. It makes the game a lot more colorful and less blurry. Also I had GTA 4 for almost a year and only played a few missions but I bought the DLC and I am playing all the time. The bikesa really are fun to drive now.
