I enjoy the SP aspect of a game much more than MP....even Halo 3....I found the SP much more intersting and excitng than MP....I wouldn't be dissapointed if a game didn't have MP except sports titles ;)

Then take out Mario, Zelda, Mass Effect, Ninja Gaiden, MGS out of your sig. MP is a poor way of saying, 'hey our single player sucks major ass but look how much fun you can have if you play it with others!'
I enjoy some games for only MP, like Unreal Tournament, I play a lot of FPS for single player only, and if they focused on MP much more then SP, then I consider the dev a failure, you can do much more in SP then you can in MP.
SP is the core gameplay and people who just buy the game to play multiplayer really piss me off. There are so many people on Halo 3 MP who haven't even touched the SP yet. It sickens me and probably upsets the developers who put so much time into it.

if I would have turned the game off before the credits endedI would have been pissed lol
SP is like movies, plot, characters etc. MP is like sports, competition, winning, rules, time limits, teams etc. They are actually completely different so it is not surprising that some people can love one and hate the other.
Oh and as someone stated above MP Co-op is indeed the best of both worlds.
I prefer a solid single player experience over multiplayer most of the time, but I do enjoy co-op and the occasional versus/deathmatch-type game. 90% of the time, though, SP.
I agree. I really don't care about online multiplayer. What's fun about playing with strangers over the internet, some of whom are racist and/or 13?

Playing Halo 3 on Legendary with 3 of your other mates makes for a much greater experience than you would have alone.
I'm still a single player type of guy, but I've recently dipped my toes into the online realm and it's an amazing thing when done with those you know. I can't speak about the stranger bit though...haven't done that yet. Perhaps for Matchmaking or whatever it is called.
I agree with you TC but its all preference. I play video games for great epic single player experience only. The only game i would play with multiplayer is Starcraft and soon Starcraft II. I hate MMORPGs to death and i consider them as trash.
