Gunplay seems pretty mediocre. Should have asked Helldivers 2 devs how to make it feel right.
Looks better than helldivers to me

Nope. its Third person Doom. finally warhammer universe not waste in another MP or Coop only game.

You clearly have never played HD2. Gunplay in this looks like it has zero sense of impact, something you'd expect from a zero experience indie developer.

Looks to have more impact than helldivers 2 *shrug* I've played HD2. This looks more impact full to me *shrug*

Okay, show me a video where this is clearly seen. All i've seen, since the very beginning, is that the weapons feel like toys. Poorly animated, and fuckall sense of impact.
@hardwenzen: In a long time. a single player third person shooter not named RE2 remake or RE4 remake is not a cover shooter and not having regen health.
when was this happened last time? Max Payne 3? but even it has cover.

Nobody is talking about the game being good or bad. I am mentioning to what looks like very mediocre gunplay, and bad gunplay in a game where you're shooting shit ain't too hot.

You keep ignoring El Paso Elsewhere like that ain't a thing.

have not played it. looks too indie for me.
I would love if they did another companion game like they did with the first Space Marine. Last time they also put out the twin-stick shooter Kill Team, and I loved it. The story wasn't anything to write home about, but going for the high score on the leaderboards was a blast. Plus you got a weapon or two for Space Marine. I can't remember if they were any good, but I like the cross-promotion. I just really like when they bring an older property back, but also put out a throwback game for the old players. Like when they were gonna do that first person (I think) XCOM, but also put out the old school firaxis one. I was hoping they were going to do the same with Wolfenstein New Order. Put out the new big budget game, and an old style Wolfenstein, with some cool tweaks/improvements. Like how hard would it be for modern developers to make an old style Wolfenstein, at a $10-$20 price point? One week... Two?

Where does the shooting look bad?? Weird criticism to say it doesn't look to have "impact". In regards to Helldivers 2... it looks just as much "impact" as that game if not more.
I don't know what you see in helldivers 2 shooting that looks so much better truly dont..
Granted I've actually played helldivers 2 but have yet to play Space Marine 2. But the gameplay shown.. the shooting looks fine.

If you don't see nor understand what sense of impact is in a shooter, then of course you're not seeing how lacking it is in SM2. Recoil, aim mechanics, the way enemies react to your bullets, etc, are all the things that are important. Its 5/10 tier in what's shown in SM2.

Disagree entirely and you got some serious delusion on hell divers 2 shooting.. it's good but nothing amazing. Frfr space marine 2 showing more weight to it's shooting and enemies taking hits than HD2.. HD2 they get shred like paper.
Helldivers 2 has more in common with EDF and SM2 more in line with Doom Eternal and Gears of War

Its not good, its great in HD2, and i am not the only one who's saying it, it was praised by a bunch of people when the game was released. Not on par with something like TLOU2, the king of giving you the sense of how powerful those weapons are, but way better than most games. Space Marine 2 gunplay is shallow, and when the game comes out, you will see what i meant.

You have fanboy goggles for hell diver 2 and Last of Us
You truly are king Sony shill.

Are seriously denying that TLOu2 gunplay isn't the best of any third person shooter? If so, please name me that game. Go on.
And no, if i was wearing fanboy goggles, i'd be happy with the current Sony, and you already know that i am not. Both, HD2 and TLOU2 were heavily praised for their visceral/impactful combat system, so i am not too sure why its so hard for you to believe that these two delivered in the gunplay department.
This game looks pretty dope not gunna lie. Definitely on my list to keep an eye on and probably a day one, even though a LOT of Warhammer games suck ass and can be hit or miss..

TLOU isn't really qualified for comparison in this instance. You have horde shooting in HD2 and SM2. Two very different generes, where in one you can take your time to show. But yes, i know what you're saying. Gravity and feedback is lacking in these kind of games, hord-shooter, and i'd say it's generally something that bothers me about games of today. The Weightlessness. The first Helldivers has already made a point and that was almost 10 years ago. You see the visual fidelity getting better and better, but the physical is rather neglected.
