Spare me the "nintendo has won" garbage, Wii is deceptively popular.

How can sheep call out the PS3 when the Wii doesn't have anything to play either? :question:

Fact: Surprise, Supriise, Wii doesn't have a single game rated above 8.0 that isn't a typical Mario/Zelda clone or popular rehash sequel like Madden.

Fact: Most of Wii's games rated above 7.0 are old games ported online.

Fact: Almost 90% of the games reviewed by GS in the last several months on the Wii are old games ported online.

Fact: The most popular game among casuals for Wii is Wii Sports Tennis. Yawn.

Fact: Wii has very, very few significant third-party exclusives planned for the next two years.

Don't act like your system is dominating sheep.  It's a fad.  People play Wii Tennis and think the new controller is cool.  Your system will come back down to Earth when everyone has become sick of the Wiimote and lack of interesting 3rd-party games and wants to play Halo 3, Grand Theft Auto IV, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Devil May Cry 4, and the many, many other great games that will be on 360, PS3 or both, but not YOUR system.

Nintendo is still the same Nintendo.   A system that doesn't have enough 3rd party support and relies too much on rehashes of its classic characters.  Only now it has a motion sensing controller and downloadable classic games.  Yippee. :roll:

They aren't exactly my type of games either, doesn't excuse the fact that they're great. Gamespot said so, (this is System Wars, right?)

Super-casuals and non-gamers dont play Halo 3, GTAIV, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and many other great games in 360 and PS3 (I excluded Devil May Cry 4 because I dont think it will be a great game).  When are you gonna get it thru your thick head that the Wii has a bigger audience than 360 and PS3.  Dude just accept it and play your 360 like I am  or may dare say it, play with your PS3.

I wouldn't call Super Paper Mario a mario clone, as there's no Mario game quite like it. Granted, I'll give you Zelda, Warioware, and Madden. That leaves, Rayman (minigame), Super Monkey Ball (minigame) and Trauma Center (NOT a minigame).

Even if they were/weren't minigames, that doesn't mean you can dismiss them. The games already prove the TC wrong as they were intended to.

I would have seriously consider skipping this gen if that was the case.. I have a PS2, Gamecube, and Counter-Strike. That could have lasted me until they would all be within' my desired price range 8)

I like the way Nintendo usually takes the affordable route, and I think it's smart.

super paper mario is a platformer/rpg, hardly what we're used to.  Madden, I'll agree.  Zelda, I'll agree but less so.  Warioware is a bizarre game, totally unique, and yes a minigame collection (actually a microgame collection but whatever).  Rayman is a mini game collection, play the dance game if nothing else.  Super monkey ball has great minigames, but there is a main game that uses tilt of the wiimote to guide a monkey in a ball through pit-filled levels.  I dont imagine that idea appeals to you.  You probably like oblivion or gears or whatever, am I right?

Imagine a world where people can buy both a 360 and Wii and get all those great hardcore games like Mass EFfect and Halo 3. And still get great games like Metroid Corruption, Brawl, Mario Galaxy, or Batallion Wars II Online. Can you picture it?

That's it, you don't know what those games are, so how can you possibly have the nerve to complain about the Wii and it's games, when you know nothing about the games. Your warioware comment reminds me of something my mother would say, a non-gamer-ish statement that would prove she isn't a gamer. What your doing on a gaming forum with that sort of lack of knowledge confuses me, because 99% of the people on any forum have a nicely rounded knowledge of the things they discuss.

I don't know what you mean by 'Mario Clone', or Zelda Clone', I thought they were called sequals? Like Halo 3, MGS4, GTAIV ect...You know what sequels are right? They are games that continue a franchise because they seem to be popular.

  Actually there is quite a few games that are enjoyable that did rat ehigher then your posted score that is 3rd party..   That being said there is alot down the pipeline.. And if your like me you didn't get the GC meaning your missing tons of AAA games that are fantastic that you can go play now.. 

   The way I see it, both Xbox360 and the Wii are doing very well for them selves.. I am still very very skeptical on the PS3, it doesn't seem to embody any of the characteristics of the PS2..  Hell people tend to forget that PS2 was the weakest of the 3 systems in that gen yet it did great for it self due to the numerous games and easy hardware that devs could adapt to.

In my country (Asian country) PS use to dominate the console market because of piracy now it doesnt. A poll was conducted in our local gaming mag Games Master and showed more than 11,000 weren't interested in PS3 at all. More than 200 are planning to buy the PS3. Thats because PC gaming rules here and the price of PS3. We're a poor country and PS3 costs $900 USD here. 

I still see nothing to rebut my argument.  Prove to me that Nintendo is more than Mario/Zelda/Madden/mini-game rehashes just like it was last generation.  Only this time with a Wii-Mote.    Show me the terrific 3rd party exclusives that Sony, and lately Microsoft, have always been known for because that is how you win in the long term. :)The__MCP

what about rogue squadron, pikmin 1+2, ssbm, wind waker, RE4, metroid p?  sunshine flopped a bit.  And since when was the cube the madden console?  That was xbox.  since when was cube well known as the minigame console.  They had mario party, but they were no where near the quality of wii's minigames.

What did the WII do to you?? It's a nice console, did you manage to throw your controller into your tv?? The WII is not a fad, it seems to be the goto console. Sales don't lie the WII has sold more in every country than the PS3. If it's a fad it's sure white hot, and fads usally take about 2 years to die, buy then nintendo will have made so much money off the WII they could build the Super WII featuring virtual reality. Plus at the end of the day it's all about who made the most money off a console, and right now the PS3 is the biggest loser, the WII is the biggest winner, since it has probably made enough money for nintendo, to pay for itself 5 times over. Nintendo appears to have gotten it's teeth back. Yeah the game lineup isn't the biggest yet, but they do have one major feature, and that is they are consistent quality, and are fun to play.  Plus even if the 3rd parties totally screw up there are still many gems that will come from nintendo.
