MGS 2 is probably my favorite game of all time...but Splinter Cell has always had a spy theme to it that I loved.

I personally tend to enjoy the gameplay of the SC series more but MGS easily has the better storyline in its games. Really I'm very excited for both games as I like both series very much so I can't pick just one.

oh, i'm so sorry. i forgot you played both games already, my bad. alright everyone thread closed because X_CAPCOM_X said MGS4 will be better. ty for putting every1 who chose SC:C in their place.

I disagree with that comment. I actually believe it's the other way around. It boils down to the stealth action, and I think you can agree that Splinter Cell involves a much more complex stealth system.

MGS games require more stealth when fighting enemies since SC A.I. is very bad. You dont actually need to use stealth to kill the enemies. When fighting The Boss she can tell where you are depending on the noise of the gun. Also when guards spot you they will call for backup. Also in MGS you adapt to your surrounding by changing the facepaint/camo.
