@Kruiz_Bathory: They are not making another Sunset Overdrive any time soon. If this goes well I see a trilogy at a minimum. Almost their entire staff is working on this game.
As much as I'd like to be excited, I have doubts Insomniac can pull it off. Thinking about all the mechanics; wall-climbing, swinging around the city.....I don't know. That trailer was complete scripted B.S. if there ever was. I don't buy it for a second, it's a target render. I'm very skeptical this will turn out great.
Not everyone likes Spider Man, but I guess fanboy brains can't comprehend that.

This is spider man is a huge win for sony,which not even on the PS2 game they won spiderman as exclusive,even that the movie is by sony pictures.

It looks that the PS4 have dominate the gaming market .PS4 is the king and the best place for games.
The possibilities for this partnership between Sony and Marvel are endless. Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, X-Men, Deadpool, Punisher. We could get so many great games from this.
Could be wrong, but I think this is JUST for Spiderman. Which makes perfect sense, as Sony also controls the films rights to Spiderman into perpetuity. Now it will be possible for them to do some video game cross-marketing with Spiderman Movies.
Even though it is a Marvel character, Disney had to deal with Sony in order to get Spider-man to appear in Captain-American civil war. They are basically partnering so that Sony's next Spider-movies are part of the "Marvel Cinematic Universe". The video game license very well could have been part of that deal, but I doubt that includes giving away all the other Marvel Characters to Sony. It would be extremely cool though, if they were able to do an "Avengers" game next with multiple characters.

@FreedomFreeLife: Sunset Overdrive's sale performance had to do with the systen it was on and not the merits of the game itself. Insomniac still owns the rights to the game and can make any SO game for whatever system they'd like, game was actually pretty fun too and I think any sequel stands a pretty good chance to sell better especially if it goes multiplatform, and it would sell better not just because it'll be on more systems but also so toxic fanboys like yourself stop your constant putdown of quality titles because it's not on your system of choice
last gen also had way more PC specific games that didn't end up on console than this gen.
That is also true, reason for both being the same, the ease of porting when the base architecture is the same.
Thus, the reason that I feel with the coming hardware upgrades from both MS and Sony (Nintendo ? wild card) exclusives will become more important than ever.
PC will still hold the advantage of highest possible quality and performance, but diminishing returns sets in at a certain point here.
More devs are going to make games for everything and at the levels that the new systems will run games the graphics advantages from one platform to another will become less of a factor over what games are available to play.

@howmakewood: Why is Injustice 2 Console only? Bungie games used to all be on PC/MAc why is destiny only on console if its multiplat now? Why is DoA Volleyball Xtreme 3 PS4 exclusive when last gen those came to PC and xb1?

Intriguing. I never imagined a Spidey game would be exclusive to a console and that one day Insomniac would be developing it.
Based on their track record, I think Insomniac will do a good-fantastic job with this new series of Spider-Man games.
The second I found marvel and sony were negotiating for movie rights and came into a great agreement, I figured Sony also got control of the video game series.
