Spiderman PS4 now BEST SELLING superhero game of all time in the U.S.

Who needs games to be multiplat? Just put your game on ps4 if you want a best seller.

Do they count the bundles? Mine came with my Ps4. Just in my opinion but Arkham city and Arkham knight are better games, especially Arkham city.

I would have bought it last month but Insomniac hasn't made a Sunset Overdrive X1X patch yet so I will never play Spiderman until they do.

Congrats. Spider-Man is my favourite superhero and comic universe so it’s great to see that the game did so well. I’m really looking forward to playing it myself when I get a PS4.

Insomniac WAS working with MS first and gave them one of the best original IP's on xbox this gen. I don't see a reason they'd lie about it.

They seemed very proud of Sunset Overdrive even when Talking about developing Spiderman for PS4.

It's one of the only competent superhero games we've had, but it's certainly well-deserved. Arkham City was the pinnacle, and Origins came closest to meeting that outing... Knight shat the bed for forced Bat-mobile mechanics.

Spider-Man? I actually got the Platinum, which is huge, because my PS4 goes on rarely. I really enjoyed the game, but it's not without detractors. The fluidity of moving in the city is the absolute pinnacle of solid gameplay. That being said, fighting is very Arkham series, and "dropping" into different environments for purely combat is kinda dumb... It's not that often, but it's lame for some side-missions.

The story is decent, but it does take some liberties. All-in-all... It's very good. Of course, my opinion.

Not surprising considering the climate of superhero movies, including MCU gives Spider-Man PS4 recolonization from it. Spider-Man PS4 is most definitely the successor to Spider-Man 2 game from PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era and this game truly felt a revolution which makes it the best Spidy game yet. It helps when the game was bundled with PS4 so that's saying something.

Very good. It's one of the best games I've played this gen. Insomniac did a tremendous job with it. Loved the combat system.

Good for Spiderman and for those who enjoyed the game. Thought the game was too repetitive for my liking; never finished the game.

Playstation exclusive is definitely growing. I mean they are entering realm where nintendo usually dominate. I think TLoU and Uncarted 4 both surpassed 15m sold while Horizon and GoW is around 10-11m now. Amazing growth and what a system, capable of selling both 1st party and 3rd party well. Congrats, this what u get for making good product

well i guess if you compare game sales to console sales?

millions of people from all over the world make games. however there are only 3 consoles. 2 are from japan and 1 is from usa.

since there are only 3 console manufactures things get analyzed with a bigger microscope.

with a game i think restricting sales to 1 region is a bit more miopic than with console sales. idk....

recommend me why i should own PS4? you can market PS4 to me. because i have no interest in any third person cinematic games. death stranding is only one that looks kinda interesting but not enough for me to warrant a console.

Spiderman PS4 is praised within it's genre for quality and gameplay. Who are you to question that?

You automatically hate on and dismiss any game that's not available on PC as bad, so your criticism of any game that's not on PC holds no weight.

You could make yourself look a bit better by not acting like everything not available on PC is crap but you always do. We know you don't play on anything else but PC, you make that clear.

So instead of making up BS arguments about how the quality of a game you've never played must be low, just say you're not interested in playing it and move on.

The only 3rd person games you play are PC multiplats, so you don't have a clue about the quality of AAA exclusive games outside of that limited scope.

Personally I'm not into comics or superhero stuff, but people speak very highly of the game so I might check it out on the PS5.

Superhero games nowadays are all stretch-thin across video games. Despite we have DC & Marvel, we also have several superhero games without the brand like those of Infamous, Viewtiful Joe, ect without DC/Marvel brands.

Last-gen pretty much started having superhero games as a sub-genre because there's too many superhero games.
