I really didn't need any more convincing other than it was by people who made It Takes Two and A Way Out, but the reassurance is a nice touch.

From my experience with their other games, I never tried random matchmaking. I had a friend do the "friend pass" thing where I owned the game, they download a "demo" or whatever, and I send them a game invite to my co-op game and then we can play together.

Wii was in the same gen as the 360 & PS3

The Wii U is in the same gen as XB1 & PS4

And the Switch is current gen with the Series & PS5.

When the Switch 2 releases it will start the next gen, not sure how people are still confused about this 🤷‍♂️

Hazelight Studios is a very talented studio that understands its audience and has a passion for making video games. They're beloved because they know what the gaming demographic wants and strive to make the best games possible. People who enjoy video games making video games. They take feedback and make the games better each time, that kind of self-awareness is very rare for a studio owned by one of the big cesspools. Must be because they don't operate in America.

you need a friend to play with. though apparently, only one person needs to buy it (so you can play it with a friend and only buy 1 copy)

@last_lap: yes but switch was made to compete with ps4 because switch had to save nin with the wii u not selling. Nintendo really is out of the gen thing. Switch 2 might be as powerful as a ps4. There more of a gen behind. Switch and switch 2 was not even close to these systems launch dates. To the average player nin switch was considered a system during the ps4 error. Ps6 or next Xbox not even close to launch. Nintendo not sitting there saying we need to make a system to compete with ps6 lmao.

@gifford38: You first need to understand that ANY console maker can and do start new generations, there's no law that they all have to do it at the same time.

Secondly power has nothing to do with it. The Wii U released 2yrs before XB1/PS4, but they are in the same generation. Because the Wii U was the successor to the Wii, and the XB1 was the successor to the 360 as was the PS4 to the PS3.

And the Wii U it sold like shit, so instead of trying to get more sales, Nintendo wrote it off and released a new console that in no way is compatable with the Wii U, so it's not a mid gen refresh, and thus started this current gen, and when Nintendo release its new console it will have kicked off next gen.

It's really simple if you just understand the basics and not try to add things that are irrelevant to the conversation.
