Gears of war 2 looks repetitive and the graphics are grey.

Killzone 2 looks repetitive and the graphics are grey.

Resident Evil 5 looks the same as the fourth one and the graphics are brown.

Also i doubt digital has played any will wrights games...they may not have the most stunning graphics but the game play will be well worth it in spore.

I think the artstyle for the planets etc. is great, reminds me of SMG. Expecting UE3 graphics from a game of this scale would be unrealistic, plus this way everyone can play it.

As for the game itself looking stupid...I don't even know what to say...

I only owned a snes, but imo, all of the games on super mario all stars sucked. The one on the snes was so much better. Unfortunately they seem to like using the older music for new games, which imo was bad.

the game certainly could last a very long time depending on what you want to do with it. after all it gives you the tools to creature new creatures, interact with creatures others make and create all sorts of other things as well (music, weapons, ships, buildings, etc). as for "forever" well you don't live forever and there are expansion that will come out to add more tools to the game. also you assume that ppl have the imagination.

for example you can give someone an instrument (paints and paint brush) and they can create music (art) and play (paint) throughout their life while others will bore of it in a few seconds.

Do you think they'll make Spore Online? If so that is what I look forward to the most. The original Sims had an online version that didn't sell too well. I had it, the online version was repetitive and boring. I played it for quite some time though and even bought my own house in the game. Spore Online would probaby be much more entertaining though. IT would be just like the ganme except you'd be playign against real people and building your empire along the way. It would even be cool if you could form alliances and such.BumFluff122

i think spore looks like another game that will be overated boring game.

however i think it would be cool for a ds game, but nothing more.

when i first heard about spore years ago thats what i thought the vision was. where you create your creatures adn evolve through life stages and build a civilization that could be taken online with huge servers to coexist in a galaxy of other users created planets and invade each other and so on

Agreed on this. I used to be interested in what this game can do but I have just moved on( mainly because I wont get the chance to play it on my own pc) but Im fine with that. Im sure everyone who does like this game can enjoy it for what it is.

The cartoony graphics is one of the great things about it so i dont know why some of you are complaining.
