Square Enix Hiring For Next Gen- FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE INCOMING

Square Enix have apparently started work for the next generation of consoles. This is according to the recruitment page on the SE Website.

Here is the actual image you see when you go to the page -

I know... "OMFG!", right? Well... There is no confirmation (obviously) that they are hiring for the Remake itself. But it does say quite a bit about what they want next gen.

Above Cloud, we have the words "Seeking the highest level of talent. New generation game engine development project starts.", which ispretty muchstraight to the point.

Below Cloud,it gives thanks to the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, they have provided huge increases in videogame graphics and sound.It also stateshow in the future, Videogames could rival the quality seen in movies.

They want a game engine system programmer, 3D graphics core programmer, online system programmer, Windows application programmer, rendering programmer, server/DB programmer, plug-in programmer, technical artist and atechnical writer. The System/Core programmer must have PS3 and/or Xbox 360 development experience with knowlege on SPU's... All positions based in Tokyo.

"At Square Enix, in anticipation of the appearance of next generation platforms, we've started development on a new generation game engine for competing beyond the level of the strong developers throughout the world, and are presently seeking a lot of talent."

As for Cloud himself being up there... I think my thoughts are known, but hey! Let the speculation begin! (Again)

Please, remake a game that deserves it. Like Secret of Mana. Also localize the second one while you're at it damn it. Seriously, FF7 does not need a crappy advent children remake.

As they are just beginning to hire, we still have a LOT of PS3 ahead of us. Here's to a ten year life cycle.

With all SE has said about how time-consuming a remake would be, wouldn't they make FF7 this gen if at all? Why would they move up to a whole new set of graphical standards when they aren't confident that they could work within the current ones?

I would just love to see some of the glitches ironed out. Add some new moves and online. Playing that adventure online with friends would be epic. People should get to experience these games.

I'm pretty sure if they made it for PS4/720 that it WILL look as good as the cutscenes. Many have no idea how much computer tech has progressed since 2005, but if games were built for high-end tech now... the possibilities would be truly that. As for gameplay tech, hopefully they do online co-op. 8)

The head of the company stated that he didn't want to do another project that took as long as FFXIII. They keep saying that FFVII would take even longer. Cloud is just there to remind developers of that game that they loved and inspire them to join SE and work for the company that was responsible for it way back when.

Oh my God . Please SE , stop hurting us . Don't be like Duke Nukem Forever just appearing and disappearing off the face of the earth from time to time . You either confirm that you're making a FF7 remake (If you do , I would so get it) or just scrap it for now and work on it in the future after all IP's are finished .

Okay, (a) why would they straight-up lie? I really can't think how that would help them. (b) Even if it's not as time-consuming as they say it would be (and I'm sure they're exaggerating with the "10 years" stuff), why wouldn't they do it this gen instead of next when there's every reason to do so? There's no concievable advantage to going next-gen from their standpoint.
