Square Enix to make a major announcement on August 2nd

It's not gonna happen. Sony actually owns distribution rights for FF7 everywherer except Japan so the only way XBL would get it is if they released it in Japan....which makes zero sense.

If we are talking about a spinoff for FF7 (like Crisis Core), that is a possiblity but there is no way you are probably EVER gonna see FF7 on XBL.....that is unless Sony allows SE to do it but what are the chances of that happening after SE hit them in the nuts with FF13.

It's the FF7 remake, I've known about this for ages. Looks like Square are finally ready to announce it. Floppy_Jim

The old guard is just tired of playing the same damn games we played generations ago. We still have those games. A remake for us is pointless. One of the main draws to a JRPG is the story.

I"d rather SE make something new.

The remakes/releases have all been on handhelds. I doubt anyone from the FFXIII team has anything to do with other projects. Square-Enix still put out TWETY and Crisis Core despite all the rereleases as well. I don't really see what the problem is.

link??? did sony publish or distribute the PC version of FFVII?

if the announcement is advent children related, they might be making an advent children game.......i doubt it though

or since they will reveal advent children complete, there might be something bundled with the blue-ray version of advent children

Ok looking at the rumors that its supposed to be a large ps3 announcement to swing the favor back towards sony, there are a few possibilities.

FF7 Remake/new FF7 game starting where the first one left off(more likely than a remake)

Chrono 3

SO4 for PS3

Release date for FFvs13

or a new IP that they've been keeping under wraps

Of those i'd want the new Chrono game the most. I mean why in the world do so few games use time travel as a central element to its story, it is just too ****ing cool.

AKA FF7: Advent Child, the game. or perhaps take place after AC, or tie in some way with AC:complete, which would explain why they're working night and day on it.
