Two "nah"s:

1. SE seems to like to remake their FF games in order. I doubt they'd make a FFVI remake before a FFV one.

2. SE has been very careful with the Chrono series. I doubt we'll see more than the nice port on the DS.

FFXIV? That's sure "wild" :P

That's a port, not a remake at all.

They should remake it with Dissidia graphics & fmv. The original version struggled to depict certain scenes, but now that Square's technology and resources are better certain scenes need to be remade.

If they're going to do it 2D, do it like the Final Fantasy 20th anniversary games for PSP. A significant 2D update.

It won't let me finish my post when quoting you, because apparently that extra character in the face I made screws it up. So I said that a PSP remake is at least better than a DS remake, but I can see V working for DS. I own both handhelds.

The characters look good, but the backgrounds don't. Mostly because it's a fighting game.

The thing is VI didn't really work as 2D. It had to resort to entering battles to display some scenes, still images flying around the screen unanimated, etc. If they're going to put it in 2D they should at least put it on PSP so they can add fmv for the scenes that needed it so badly from the get go.

Two of the games will be for the portable consoles or maybe for the Wii. The third will be a new JRPG for the 360 and PS3. Might be 360 exclusive, definitely won't be PS3 exclusive.
