SSX, A nightmare come true? (Updated with info)

So, I'm just gonna call it here. SSX is dead with the Deadly Decents reboot. The one game that should have never EVER had the word gritty shoved in it. Really? What were they thinking? SSX is a game that makes me think of a guy with a rainbow colored afro sking down outlandish slopes. This isn't want I want. This isn't what anyone wants. EA dropped the ball here. The only thing that'll make up for this is if they hurry up and announce Mirror's Edge 2.

Hmmm I cannot tell where they are going with this. I don't really care if there is guys with afros and stuff. Thats not personally why I loved SSX3, but I don't want it to turn into something other than snowboarding. And I don't want it to be purely at night or anything. I don't mind some epicness and such, just don't make it something other than snowboarding is all.

Yeah it is the single dumbest thing ive ever heard.. Who the heck wants to play a stupid vertical limit video game?.. I mean dont we have enough dark gritty games? Jesus. I want to play another awesome snowboard game where I can ride on huge insande mountains with grind rails, crazy jumps and do insane ridiculous jumps with turbo meters flashing listening to rap remixes.. I dont want to play some stupid OMG IM GONNA DIE IF I DONT RIDE THIS MOUNTAIN RIGHT

cartoon? The last one was like a cartoon and I did not like that. I don't mind a realistic gritty take, but I hope it isnt too focused on being epic that it takes away from just riding down a mountain leasurely and having fun.

I hear ya, but first of all no rap mixes lol. How about some rock like they had in SSX3 (good times by finger eleven and way away by YellowCard)? And second of all, maybe this video is just to cause hype and maybe the final peak will be crazy like this, but the others wont be as crazy and will be sunnier and such. Who knows.

If they didn't say beforehand, I'd have never guessed it was a trailer for an SSX game. I hope they keep the OTT style and gameplay from the previous games and that the trailer was incredibly misleading.

Well I still have high hopes for it and will wait for gameplay, although I definitely understand everyones skepticism! Keep in mind, with all the amazing games being announced for next year, one of them was bound to dissapoint :P.

its SSX.... it be pretty hard to ruin the game play in the game. We didnt really get anything from the trailer.

What? the SSX trailer was awesome, reminded me of SSX3 a little bit. I hope some of the characters return like Elise, Zoe, Stark and such. Swift_Boss_A

I already don't like it being labeled a reboot. It sounds like an excuse to make some gritty realistic (AKA boring) snowboarding game and stamp SSX all over it for no reason.

It probably won't even have split-screen. Just online multiplayer with perks or some crap.

Actually we do have an idea. That is the purpose of the trailer, it gives us a hint.

SSX was already dead. Any snow boarding game, or skating game, that has anything to do with reality I will hate for sure. I will wait until I see more before I make any assumptions.

Don't judge a book by its cover :P. But seriously though I think its bit too early to condemn the game, have some patience and wait a little before accusing EA of killing the SSX franchise.

tricky and downhill domination are two of the best sports games ive played... ever, and yet most people wouldnt even know what the latter is :(
