It's second party game. Sony owns the rights to it but not the studio. Just like gears of War. Xbox does not own epic. Marathon is bungies game and has a contract saying they can release there game on any system. It was in the sale agreement. Elder scrolls 6 same thing already ps5 contract before Xbox bought them.

Why wouldn't God of War be on Xbox? I mean Sony is already putting Destiny, Marathon, MLB the Show on Xbox, with more to come. They are now doing day and date on PS and PC. And now releasing games on Switch. The PlayStation brand is now a 3rd party publisher.
