Pretty much everyone was expecting SQ42 to get delayed so no surprise there.

But no SQ42 demo at Citizencon is really disappointing. I'm not gonna defend them from the salt storm that's gonna happen.

I don't mind delay at all but no Squadron 42 gameplay at Citizen Con is very disappointing. They hyped it for months and were also 1.5 hours late to start the show and now they are telling us that they won't show it. Come on man.

I can already see the storm before me. Well, at least there is still V2 planets.

Hope there will at least be a trailer for Squadron 42 and Version V2 of Procedural Generation will be good.

So this was originally supposed to be just some mall, few part single player game fashioned after Wing Commander. After years of people bitching about "scope increase", this is what we've gotten. Awesome.

That Javelin was pretty amazing as well. The sense of scale we got there was pretty crazy. I can't even imagine what a Bengal will be like.

V2 looks freaking insane.

These generation tools are insanely impressive. This is how they will be able to build such a massive world.

Pretty good presentation. Would've been a lot better with Squadron 42 but for V2 alone it was worth watching. The tools that they've created are incredible.

Pity about SQ42 but that V2 planet tech is unbelievable. Excellent insight into the tech at the end. :)

Yeah the lack of SQ42 demo was a let down. I got my hopes up when they showed that destroyed city trailer until it was revealed to be a Polaris commercial smh. Chris, please just stop making release date promises of any kind. Even for a demo. Please.

On the other hand that planet demo looked crazy impressive. Too bad the Stanton system doesn't have a planet like that. Still, I honestly can't wait for 3.0 now, though I personally don't expect to see it this year. That road map up to 4.0 also looks very promising, just hope it's not Chris who made that list.

Wow no SQ42 gameplay??? Seriously??? And they were lying to us since weeks?? Screw this crap. I'm done. It will never going to come out. It used to be one of my most anticipated game but now I don't care anymore.

No they will never. they didnot show anything since 2012. we are in the end of 2016 and still no sign.

next year citizencon will be exact like every other. promise to reveal then they dont.

this project is just scam. even CitizenCon is just a business as they loot our money for tickets for nothing to show nothing.

they are just making us PC gamers fool but in reality we are not.

to release in 2015. plan change. but show only cineamatic footage where nothing happen. and reveal it will be release in 2016.

again plan change. its no longer coming out in 2016 and they have NOTHING to show. make up your mind chris roberts. this is the first project i have ever seen in my lifetime where a company talk about this and that without showing anything to customers.

I bet by the time of 2017. they will once again show pre alpha footage of presistence universe then and show some sneek peek of SQ42 that they always do. and claim they will release in 2018.

So Squadron 42 is their WW2 shooter?

I'm going to stop following the game again now for awhile, there is only so much disappointment and waiting for something that is actually playable any sane person can take. Q4 looked promising ... 2.6 (debatable if it'l come this year at this point...) ... no 3.0 for sure.. , not even a glimps of one bloody single player campaign mission....

The planet demo was impressive, but its once again an example of shiny tech over core gameplay...

PU has been available for a year, one extra landing zone, a few ships and bug fixes/improvements and still runs like ass. ... I could tolerate it because SQ42 was supposedly "very far along, and focus will then switch" ... based on Citizencon, we will be lucky to see SQ42 in Q3 2017... meaning that we will still be stuck with a one system PU well into 2018 probably.

Another year of over-promising and under delivering... it's not so cute anymore.

That's what this game is. Good on Chris Roberts for preying on the hopes and dreams of fanboys everywhere though. Good business, that.

It's a linear(ish) single player campaign that's heavily story and cinematic driven. Sounds a lot like how they setup The Witcher 2.

They totally screwed it , you could tell the conference was set up for SQ42 and rather than delaying it before the show, they just removed it last minute, the real killer is that the whole conference led up to it with them teasing it and right in the middle of it they just said they were not showing it,....you could feel the tension in the room and the mood changed quick.

CR really pooched it this time.

I guess I don't care that much. They'll show it when it's ready and you can tell they weren't to happy with not showing it themselves. Showing a broken demo would have been far worse.

The Planets 2.0 was pretty damn awesome.

They'll show off Squardon 42 during an ATV sometime before the end of the year.
