Yeah going to wait til the actual release of this game.. The Escapist article about them really has made me question this company and it's development.. Especially due to the fact that the legal action the developer threatened the Escapist with if they didn't take down the article hasn't happened and the article has been out for over a month.. To me this pretty much says that there is weight to the Escapist article in the accusations leveled against the developer.

Because who wouldn't when you write a article trying to defame someone and make accusation like racism/ageism when there are two black guy seen working with sandy despite the claim she was racist including old guys seen working on the SC project. Explain why some of the quotes was literally word for word from glass door that were made the same week. And out of money? Explain why they haven't lay off more people since they still have over 250 people its not liek Chris is forcing people to buy ships.

And no this is not gameplay anywhere in the video.

It does say teaser trailer in the title way to be obvious.
@TheFadeForever: Did you even read what I wrote? If everything was false and it was libel attack on them, they could take them to court like they threatened to do. Now they are going on to month 2 and escapist still has the article up and there is no sign of a lawsuit happening. This pretty much says to the public that there is some truth in what they reported and/or they don't want a lawsuit because it would have them disclose possibly worse things on their operation in the case.. This isn't hard to understand, they can clear everything up with a lawsuit with full disclosure if what they said is false, yet still no lawsuit.
I mean do you even understand how the legal system works? The developer is basically acting like these accusations hold water and are trying to ignore it, hoping it goes away.
Hence why the developers actions after the article give weight to what the article accuses of them doing...

And you know how the legal system work? There are processes that you have to do in order to get your case to the court. It can take 12 months to even get a trail for a defamation case. Also there something called a statues of limitation that give them months to file a lawsuit. Many companies do not automatically file a lawsuit after they request a demand.

... The dev directly threatened them that they would file lawsuit if the article wasn't brought down.. Over a month and a half ago now. Escapist refused and the article is still up. Nothing since has been spoken what so ever about the subject.. To the public's knowledge the developer has done absolutely NOTHING in putting forward a lawsuit.. Something that would make news in gaming the moment it did happen.... This isn't something you put on the backburner if a well known news sources makes fraudulent claims towards your company with a already shaky public appearance.. This didn't just happen last week.. The article has been up since early October..

Are you serious? Companies often times can wait months before they file for lawsuit. You seem to think they can automatically take them to court even that take months, look up how long it takes for a defamation case to get to court. There are stuff that have to be done even before filing a lawsuit. Sony and Microsoft have done the same thing and they never did it in weeks of their demands. Statues of limitation gives them a time frame on when they are to present their lawsuit or is that something you have no idea about because that is basic knowledge if you know anything on how the law works.
If CIG is planning to file a lawsuit they don't need to disclose when they are going to do it in the public. If you actually had a clue they could have never taken the article down in a month that's not how the law works.

When did I say go to court? They have yet to even FILE the lawsuit to begin with. That is my POINT. That they made a open letter that they are going to immediately file lawsuit against escapist for defamation if they didn't take it down immediately, they haven't taken it down and a lawsuit has yet to be even filed against them.

You mention about going to court on your previous comments I can even show you where it was. And they never said they would do a lawsuit right away and you know who else threaten with a lawsuit Derek Smart who even said if he didn't like the response CIG gave to his demands he would file the lawsuit yet he hasn't done anything since he's the one saying everything about the article is true and even knows the writer.
Legal matters happen behind close door so nobody knows what's actually going on at this point. I'm going to only say this once there are things you have to do before even filing a lawsuit. The court will also have to approve of the lawsuit which can also take time.
@sSubZerOo: CIG never said they would admittedly go with a lawsuit no such statement. They most certainly do not need to tell the public what they plan on doing. CIG has been threaten with lawsuit before yet it has never happened.
Woo! Mark Hamil! No gameplay but Mark Hamil! Let's all donate more!
PC disaster race bro. They never learn.
They showed gameplay after the trailer how PC never learned
Shh let's glorify cutscenes and in engine trailer so people and their alts won't know gameplay exist

What are you talking about? They gave escapist a open letter of demands..
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/14979-Chairmans-Response-To-The-Escapist/ In fact the letter gives a 24 hour notice of bringing the article down or a class action lawsuit would occur.. This was early October.. Escapist has double downed and has refused to take down the article.. And nary a sign of CIG actually going through with the lawsuit as of yet.. Almost two months after..

"If it does not, CIG says it will turn the case over to its litigators in preparation for "legal action in the US and the UK against the individuals and entities involved as listed herein". Never said they would file lawsuit right away there are proceeding even before the lawsuit can be filed. They would need to discuss it with their lawyers.
Derek Smart said he would file law suit months ago and he never gone through.

This isn't about Derek Smart, I have no idea what he hell you keep on going on with him.. I am merely pointing out severe doubt about CIG with not just the article but the complete lack of motions afterwards from CIG after the day after they wrote a detailed list of demands they want met within 24 hours.. I am all for this game succeeding but I'll wait til it's actually released before I actually invest in this game due to stuff like this happening.. Sorry if I am going to show doubt in this games development after said stuff has happene..

Oh man alpha 2.0 is right around the corner and next year will be awesome
Hi gpuking, giovela, am-gamer, m3boarder, and m3dude. How is your day today?
Star Citizen can not challenge The Order for graphics king, because The Order is not graphics king at the moment. And sadly the 4 games that beat TO happen to be large in scope and not blurry, making them all the more impressive.
holy hell.
Lol movie game.
Absolutely, Squadron 42 will be the 'movie game' to end all 'movie games'. After all it's what Chris Roberts is truly famous for, he's the grand master of the 'movie game'. There hasn't been another 'movie game' made that can compare to Wing Commander 3 and 4

The good thing about his "movie games" is that they are also challenging with great gameplay and multiple outcomes.
Looks like a few people are uploading alpha 2.0 on youtube and live streaming it on twitch. Sucks only 1000 people are able to play it.
True, but it also means we only have a couple of weeks to wait now rather than an unspecified "soon" :)
Maybe less if you play the pre release on the Test Universe.

Hopefully all the serious bugs are removed by then
