Just watch some dude test playing and the doors wouldn't load and the game would crash when the player would look at them? Then the game crashed when he tried to fly a ship. He got about 5 feet off the floor and the game shit the bed. "Not a corridor game" you're right; it isn't a game at all, it's a joke. PC gaming is a joke.
Disagree. The developer can't sue because they are busy making the game. Suing like what Silicon Knight will just kill the company. The escapists is totally ok with the law suit because they already make steady income. Even if the developer is right, the law suit will kill themselves than getting the slight justice they deserved. The court can't punish escapist much. Probably just a public formal apology. The time wasted to gain something so useless? It is pointless.
Its time consuming to wait for the court to even decide to accept the case. Defamation case in journalism are difficult to win the US.
This game might actually challenge The Order for graphics king
Awww poor gpuking is so embarrassed that now he uses a new alt just to post comment.
You need better things to fill out your day friend lol, the delusion of me creating alts conjured by you and a few other hermits is down right embarrassing. Oh and the gameplay model looked far worse than that Hamilton cutscene.
@gpuking: You realize those are just temporary placeholder in a alpha build. There making it where we can create how our character look not give us pre made ones. Hamilton model will be in Sq42 and also most Npc in UC4 gameplay don't look nearly as good as drake in the cutscene so yeah. You certainly didn't mind talking about his model even before UC4 gameplay was released.

Awww dat desperation. Don't worry, one day Consoles will get better graphics despite having an inferior hardware, because Magic is real.

Exactly... Not to mention, they are still working on the models and Hamill's model already looks a lot better than Gary Oldman's at Citizen Con, which also looked great. And as you said, what we are playing right now is alpha build with placeholder characters.

... Wait what? The developer is too busy? I wasn't aware their coders were also lawyers as well, here I thought companies had their own crew of lawyers or hired a firm to handle legal issues.. And.. No that is wrong.. You can sue for damages of reputation of both the company and the product, and they would be forced to bring down their article on top of that.... You say "they don't have enough time" yet they almost immediately released a very specific set of demands to the Escapist and told them they had 24 hours to comply before legal action would occur..

Not if you provide direct evidence on the contrary that disproves their supposed sources to a T.... But that would have their entire organization combed through with a fine comb, and to this point I am not sure CIG exactly wants that.. Some of the accusations are a little to specific to be called bullshit to begin with.. Who knows, it may all be bullshit, but based on that article and CIG's handling of it.. I am going to wait for a full version of the game to release before I decide to pay for the said product..

.The amendment of freedom of speech makes it difficult to win libel cases. Only 13% are ever successful and it is hard to find lawyers to take up such cases. You really think it was that easy when burden of proof is high. CIG would have to also have to prove the article intent was meant to cause damage. They already said they are talking to their lawyers about legal action so the lawyer will have to decide if they want to go through with such lawsuits.
Man, this is looking better than ever. Just found couple of videos; Sound effects, destructible components, sparks inside ship after taking damage, explosions, random encounters and so on. Looking very impressive for Alpha.

"But I was going in to Toshi station to pick up some power conveeeeerters!!"
Damn. Despite the lack of classic Hamill whine, this is looking pretty damn good. All of those vids are. I don't get these people that say all this game is is a bunch of broken modules that barely work. It looks to be progressing quite well. Hopefully we'll see Sq. 42 next year, but I've a feeling it'll more than likely hit a delay. Wouldn't Derek Smart love for that to happen.

Won't be surprised if Sq42 sees delay but won't mind it if it means better end product.
most NPC in UC4 do look as good as Drake. Check Sully, Sam, Elena and a few others.
look, learn your shit before mouthing off.
Most games that aim for these kind of things (Star Citizen / Uncharted) have "Tier 1 characters" ... Drake, Skully and whatever female sexual idol they have this time.... are all Tier 1 characters... and probably the main villian. These characters take MONTHS each of development time to create. Another example is RISE ... one of the leader character designers from Crytek who did the RiSE characters works on Star Citizen and explained this in an interview in detail. The main character of RISE took 9 months of solid development ALONE. THAT is the kind of attention Drake/skull and main actors get. Tier 2 ones... like the ... oh wait, there is no enemy variety or NPCs in Uncharted.... so they literally got the whole 5 years to work on one characters... hah.
Hammill and Oldman ... are FAR shorter times. along with the other 15 odd tier 1 characters. Players and NPCs in the PU will likely be Tier 2. and still look great. but the current ones are complete and utter placeholders since the character creator system comes after the tier 1 polish.
There is nothing impressive about a tiny TPS corridor shooter with a 5 character cast.... they spend the majority of their resources obsessing over them to the point where, it's just not a good comparison. E.G ... "200 pcik up animations" for drake is f*cking pathetic to brag about ....

They said the SQ42 will be episodic so they could get the game out by next year

Squadron 42 is not episodic. The original plan was to release Squadron 42 in five parts like The Walking Dead, and then released two expansions for the game called Behind Enemy Lines and [insert title here].
New plan is to release entire Squadron 42 as one game and not in parts. So, Squadron 42 that you will get next year will be full game, with 50+ missions (original plan was to release 10 missions with each episode).
And now, the two expansions Behind Enemy Lines and Third unannounced expansion have been turned into full fledged games. And since it'll be odd to call them Squadron 42 2 and Squadron 42 3, they are calling them Squadron 42 episode 2 and Squadron 42 episode 3. It confuses people that they are releasing Squadron 42 in episodes, but they are not.
They are just calling its sequels episode 2 and 3, like Star Wars Ep 4,5 and 6. The entire trilogy will be like Mass Effect 1,2 and 3 (3 standalone games).
