I remember playing through the Star Ocean: The Second Story, getting to the final dungeon and spending over a month level grinding just to get my party strong enough to beat the final few bosses only to have my save corrupted and erase over 100 hours of gameplay. I vowed to never play Star Ocean again...

Star Ocean going to the PS3 just made the most sense. This game trumps all other games announced at this time to me. I love the entire series, and tri-Ace's work in general.

I think that I was stuck on the 100 floor dungeon. All I remember is it kept going up and up and there were battles like every 5 feet you walked. I had my party all at like level 90 and I kept struggling as it got higher up. Eventually my main character was well over level 100 and I still kept dying so I quit playing. I loved the game up until then, I just hate when you have to level grind that much.

You see. This is how the PS2 won. All of the odd (but great) series made their appearences on the PS2. This and Disagea will definately arouse some interest with the hardore crowed (especially Japan.) :)

Well this helped the ps2, it might have even have caused it to win japan. But... here in North America the GTA series won it for the ps2.
